Papa this is great! Super appreciate you sharing an inspiring the rest of us old dudes to give it a go. Quick question, do you have info on where you sourced the springs you used for the connectors?
@papasplace2 Жыл бұрын
I got the springs from Aliexpress... they had everything I needed and a good price. Just had to wait for the shipping time.

What collater plate should I use for nose up 223 cal. And 300 blk out . Is it the larger no.4 plate .

What kind of proximity sensor do you use and where can I get some at and what kind of power supply do you use and controller and relay switch do have in the controll box.
@papasplace223 күн бұрын
I used an optical sensor and an led I went that route because it was less expensive and a lot more reliable then the proximity sensor.... most of the electronics I got off of Amazon. Everything runs off a 12 volt wall wort. If you go to the link I provided you can down load the PDF on all the parts and the ones people have used. It wasn't all that hard to put together and not all that expensive either.

You have been warned... it is one giant rabbit hole! LOL It is nice to be able to print up some useful stuff. There are millions of files out there for all kinds of things people have designed... not to mention that you can design your own stuff too.

It looks pretty automated .

It is... once you get it set right. I used to get 95% of the cases showing up correct with 9mm using the Lee collator... now I am getting 100%. My hands were having a really hard time picking up those pesky 223 bullets(Arthritis)... now it isn't a problem. The set up gives more opportunity to check everything from powder charge in cases and neck crimp without having to worry about the cases feeding or placing the bullets in the case mouth to be seated. I can go as fast or slow as I want to. It is a God send!
