Looks awesome. Did you use 70mm or 80mm shocks in your build?
@elvisrcchannel45905 күн бұрын
Thank you for your interest. I used 70mm shocks. As you might already know, the shocks in the video have a shorter shock stroke. I wanted to capture the feel of a tractor with minimal shock travel. The shocks with a longer stroke, used in the assembly and driving videos of the 380 version, seem to provide a driving experience very similar to that of a typical crawler.

Visually it looks great. Thanks for sharing. But when I look at the driving video I see that the tires are in the air even on very simple obstacles. It would be great if you could improve this part.
@elvisrcchannel45906 күн бұрын
Thank you for visiting and for taking the time to watch the driving video. I intentionally set the shock travel to be short to explore different driving sensations. As you may already know, using shocks with longer travel and adjusting their mounting positions can prevent the tires from lifting off the ground. 😊 I'll include a link to a driving video of the same model with properly set shocks, driving on the same terrain. @@elvisrcchannel4590 Hmm. This is much better than the other one. The CG looks very good as well. It managed to pass places where most vehicles would overturn. Are the necessary parts for this mod in the 3D files?

@@elvisrcchannel4590 I just have a question about the brushless motor. I am thinking of using a sensored motor. There are options like 6T, 8T, 10.5T, etc. I don't know if it is related to torque. Can you share some more details about the brushless motor? and will there be any wheels for 1/10 or is there anything we should pay attention to
@elvisrcchannel45906 күн бұрын
@@aGGreSSiv For crawler brushless motors, I recommend Hobbywing’s Fusion SE or Fusion Pro. The motor used in the video is the Fusion SE 1200KV, which is an all-in-one motor with an integrated ESC. Its compact size and lightweight design provide advantages, and it offers excellent low-speed torque at an affordable price, making it highly advantageous overall. It operated smoothly with the gearbox in the manual without significant issues. The car in the video has a wheelbase of 320mm, which roughly corresponds to a 1/10 scale. Most 1/10 scale crawler wheels should be compatible. As for specific points to watch out for, ensure you adjust the length of the link rods appropriately during assembly. This should help avoid any major issues. Before purchasing, I recommend gathering sufficient information about the structure and components of RC crawlers to make an informed decision.

@elvisrcchannel45903 күн бұрын

What did you do for rear Lights?
@elvisrcchannel45905 күн бұрын
I inserted a 5mm LED into the modeled LED hole. The rear lights look different in the driving video because I didn't have red LEDs. Instead, I used white LED bulbs and created a cap with red PLA to attach to them.

@@elvisrcchannel4590 Sweet! That was exactly what I was looking for. Did you use quite stiff TPU for the frontlight holder? Sorry if I ask to many questions. It's allways like that when I get excited about something!
@elvisrcchannel45905 күн бұрын
@@Ghosty-RC The front light holder was made with stiff TPU, but slightly flexible TPU would also work fine, and regular PLA is no problem either. As you might have guessed, the reason for using TPU for the light holder is that when the car rolls over rocks, TPU's lower fastening strength compared to PLA allows the holder to come loose instead of breaking, minimizing damage to the light. That said, the car has rolled over rocks multiple times, and the light has remained undamaged. It seems the mounting position of the light helps protect it from impact.
