Mice can dash and jump with surprising speed, so I wouldn't think it impossible for a determined mouse to slam into the roof until they can squeeze out. A sliding door would absolutely solve that issue though.

Nice update useing the screws as the holding tank bars since very thin 3D printing bars could be chewed through seems the holding tank is sorta small for multiple catches it would be easy enough to enlarge in 3D

You could use a large jail connected to a second chamber with a second one way door (that can only be opened when the chamber is atattched) to house many mouses while being able to lift the chamber one by one to remove said mouses

Update.....I received this trap as promised so no complaint's on delivery time. Now about it's operation......I mounted it on a 2x6 5" from ground level on a portable platform. I placed it where I know I have some rats. If they could speak, I suppose they would comment on how nice the structure that holds the trap looks. I haven't had any takers yet. I am considering making some adjustments to the bait .....I hope others have had better luck.

New to the channel and have a suggestion for what I think is the coolest mouse trap I have seen on the channel so far. (The Delusion) Keep everything about the design the same and expand the holding area exponentially... You would probably end up with like 30 + mice in there provided you simply make more area. This trap is so effective, and if Dave the engineer sees this post... DO IT lol would love to see that in action.

Great design and an amazing modern day version of it. I love this one. I wonder if a rat size version would be effective at catching rats. A 3D print design can easily be scaled up at print time with most software. Only issue might be the size of the 3D printer's build bed. My Robo3D R1+ maxes out at ten inches.

this is one of the best designs I have seen so far but the biggest flaw is the small holding cell that will cause stress and killings.. if you re-design this one you should think of a bucket attackment or a really big holding cell to get a big infestation in a barn under control fast..
