I’m so glad you released this video before I started ordering all the hardware separately. I just ordered the hardware kit from you. If all goes well with my first build maybe I’ll buy all the separate parts so I’ll have enough to build several boats. But for now I’m just glad to get everything in one package. Thank you.

Cool video, thanks for posting. If you're wanting to make the butterfly valves work, I'd recommend going to a spring made from thinner wire- ideal is SS 0.2mm x 4mm x 50mm. Looks like moving the battery forward would help with smoothing out the ride. I also started with Ryan's ride plate then went to the stock U shaped one that's the tallest (9mm?) with better results. Super fun

Very nice build. I may need print one of these for myself, if I can find the time for another boat project. May I give you a suggestion regarding mixing of epoxy. Instead of wasting so many ziplock bags, use a pad of sticky notes. When you're done with one batch, just pull off that one sheet and you'll have another for the next batch. You can get the sticky note pads in different sizes depending on how much epoxy you need.

So glad I stumbled across this. I started printing my superjett on my bamboo lab last night. Can I ask what kind of epoxy you used to seal the boat or if you used any?
@rcprinterАй бұрын
I didn't use any epoxy to seal the boat... I just used epoxy to glue the hull together. Water will seep in a little bit over time but it really doesn't spend too much time in the water except when its running. Sealing with epoxy or even just a bit of paint would be ideal but its not a hard requirement for sure.

Wow that's a very nice build, well done! Is it me or did still some water came out of the boat at the end of the video? Is the TPU lid not completely watertight?
@rcprinter3 ай бұрын
Yup there's a little water but its not too much. Not 100% sure where the water got in but my guess is the top seal.
@marcusone12 ай бұрын
they don't show if they seal the plastic. 3d printed items are not water proof. water can get between the layers. to seal it you need to paint it with something. TPU lid may also not work great if not soft enough (or so the instructions say). I'm going to try using gasket material along with the tpu lid.

top speed can be even faster if the inelt never leaves the water surface, maybe a longer and hevier boat coud help

you can play with the different ride plates and trim tabs with the model and get it pretty stuck to the water, just hadn't had time to do that yet when I made this video.

What is the width of the boat? Not sure if the bed on my a1 mini is big enough.
@rcprinter15 күн бұрын
Hey Nelson, according to the print manual for the Supersprint FDM 3D printer of minimum build size 180x130x180mm (XYZ). The widest Supersprint part is 179x128mm wide, the tallest part is 175mm tall. Hope this is helpful.
