I know this is a year late but I’m remodeling your model and gonna try to do some things to it:) I’m gonna try to make the lense telescopic so you can adjust the hot spot, also I think there may be possibilities in adding a female plug of some sorts to make pressure pads.

crazy timing, i've been designing my own laser illuminator too, might steel a couple of your ideas lol. How come u went with a 780nm laser? i thought 850 was best for nvgs. Also it would be cool to see a video of the unit through ur pvs14 to get a good idea of how the laser and illum preform. Super cool stuff anyways.
@thriftyoperator6372 жыл бұрын
I just got the 780 because it was cheap and available. I tried one other laser but this one was better. I'm going to make a follow up video showing the performance. I started to add the footage, but this video is already 25 minutes, and I didn't want to make it any longer. Come back and drop a link for your design when you finish it.

i have make a similar one from mock peq15 but I use visible led and red laser, for the switch I use 3 switch, momentary, toggle, and 2 way switch, so I can choose between laser and illuminator and make pressure switch from 3.5 mm. cable from speaker

How has the plastic held up? Have you tried to aneal the plastic to make it more robust? I also wonder if a pinch style picatinny system would work better. More bulk, but it would allow you to replace the pinch plate and continue to use the main body. But at $30, make a few for back ups.

Cool project. Have you looked at modding an airsoft MAWL or PEQ with improved electronics and lights/lasers? Some of the units look pretty nice for less than $100

The GokuGear MAWL is an all metal frame with electronics inside. Not sure the strength of the components, but that’s my idea now. Don’t have a 3D printer so I’m looking for a good housing I can tweak.
