Someone finally made a 3d printed robotdog thats easy to understand to set up you did a amazing job keep up the good work and thank you

I'd love to see a redesign of this using your compliant actuators.

@@AaedMusa great only thing not really useful ..Id like to think making a robot would serve us to make life easy in some way..but this is fantastic..I wish I had your talent! :)

@@navinbhandari2001 Appreciate it! Robots are steadily becoming more like what we see in sci-fi movies. A lot of other quadrupedal robots like SPOT by Boston dynamics are already able to complete real-life tasks.

Do you think you could make a video showing the inside of it off thanks and nice build

Check out my instructables page (link In description). There you’ll find some videos of what is inside.

Any reason you chose not to use your planetary gear actuator?
@AaedMusa2 жыл бұрын
Yes, The robot uses servos that already have their own gear reductions. furthermore, the servos are already at an optimal torque and speed value, so adding a planetary reduction on top of that would be unnecessary.
@Dangineering2 жыл бұрын
@@AaedMusa Do you plan on making a version of your robot dog that utilized your original BLDC planetary reducers, or cycloidal variant?
@AaedMusa2 жыл бұрын
@@Dangineering Looking back I think I misread your initital question. I didn't use my planetary gearbox actuator because it didn't have enough torque for its size. It wouldn't be strong enough to build a robot. As for your second questions, I would love to build a robot with BLDC motors but they arent cheap. Not only are the motors themselves expensive, but you need FOC controllers (namely odrive) to give the robot its dynamic and springy gait. Perhaps i would create such a srobot if I can afford what is on the market or if things become cheaper.

Are you running this with an inverse kinematics program? Could probably make the movement a lot more natural
@AaedMusa2 жыл бұрын
Yes it uses inverse kinematic within the program. The smoothness of the robot is most like due to the fact that these are cheap servo motors and don’t have natural compliance. You can’t really energize the servos to accelerate the way an actual dog would.

@@AaedMusa Are there any that would be able to? if so would they be compatible with the rest of the build?

@@AaedMusa Moves like every chihuahua I've seen.
@AaedMusa2 жыл бұрын
@@tcd3077 while I don’t believe there are any servos with natural compliance, there are some that are a lot faster and accurate than these. Namely the JX CLS6336HV. And yes these servos and most medium sized servos should be compatible with this build. Look up the Stanford Pupper robot. It uses these servos and works a lot better than mine.

How fast can it run on flat land and on rocky terrain?
@AaedMusa2 жыл бұрын
I don't have any actual figures but what is shown in the video is the fastest it can go. I haven't done much testing on rocky terrains but I'd imagine it wouldn't do too well since there is no natural complaince in the servos.
