It's been over a year now Doug. We miss you dude. Love your vid's. Your a wealth of knowledge and many of us depend on you. Sometimes life can kick us in the pants and we drop out of the game. Need help? Sick? Divorce? What ever it is, I'll help. Just respond and I can muster up 5-6 guys and drive over and get you back on your feet. Happy New Year my friend.

Re: Use on a pinball machine - Check out the Thomas Sanladerer channel. He does some strength tests of filaments and tested some processes to make them stronger. I wouldn't discount that a properly printed drop target would hold up fairly well. There are processes to 'bake' the prints and basically fuse it together, making it roughly as fused as the injection molded parts we use on machine today. I've thought that could lead to testing play and ball response from different plastics based on rebound and flex/rigidity. That makes it viable in my opinion and affords the ability to customize for performance and design. Also consider it as an option to print a plug or even mold for casting in a different material. Great to see the hobby expand in new directions. Maybe not your first use in your shop but thought it was worth not fully discounting.

If you are looking for 3D modeling software for generating your own parts give "FreeCAD" a try. I had almost zero 3D modeling experience, and was able to get up an running with it fairly quickly.
