I also love working in metal. This is all right on my wheelhouse. I also do Silicone and plastic casting, just more ways to make and replicate things. I'm so glad I found your channel

You got it man. I’ve learned a ton from you and it’s the least I can do for someone who’s giving so much to the maker community!

Great looking printer and it will be a handy in making some of your next forms for casting

For a 5 year old printer, it works and I get pretty decent prints.

Thanks man for the awesome comment! You always send positive vibes my way and it’s much appreciated! I’m trying my best to keep the videos coming. I was laid off from work recently- which sucks but I have more free time on my hands to indulge in my hobbies.

Do you like the makerbot? Hiw much fiddling do you do to get it to work?
@eviltwinx3 жыл бұрын
I hate to admit it, but I do. Now, I don’t have much hands on with other machines so keep that in mind. What I like is that it’s easy, has WiFi, fairly simple bed leveling, a camera, and pretty good prints. Impressive for a machine that’s over 5 years old. I got this from work. It wasn’t working and they were going to get rid of it.
@eviltwinx3 жыл бұрын
Oh. And not much fiddling to get prints. The software is very basic and easy to use. Not great for advanced users who want more options.

I personally dont care for tinkercad, I usually use freecad, which I have tied in with the 3d printing slicer and such, so it's easy to use for me once you get acquainted with it. 3d printers are nice for smaller and more intricate patterns, but usually I find it faster and easier to just make them out of wood usually, lol. I was wondering if you were on discord, if so, hit me up at Chirpy@7075.
