I actually used your finger armor tutorial for my 3D printed jointed hand. I agree that foam is much easier and has the benefit of flexibility. I think 3D printing probably shines through in durability. It's much harder to work with but if you're planning to wear something multiple times or harshly, I think printing is a good choice

Since I am currently living with my parents and not exactly in a fully independent and financially stable position I resort to EVA foam. But when I finish my uni & leave abroad I definitely plan on buying a 3d printer for further development in my cosplay hobby.

I feel EVA foam. If one were to be creatively ingenuous we can be a robots weakness. One does not become super or extra if we do not grow with simplicity und mastering new heights… so yeah! EVA foam provides simplicity for better reliable advancements.
