Quick tip for calipers: To measure the distance between to holes of the same size, first turn the caliper over and use the small, inner arms and zero them in one of the holes. Then flip it back over and measure the holes from the walls nearest to each other and that's you center to center distance. 😊

I was given an EasyThreed X1 printer for Christmas by my son, and although its a cheap $100 printer that’s limited to 100mm x 100mm x 100mm prints, I’ve found it great for printing bits for my workshop. Stop blocks, drill chuck holders, vacuum adapters, etc. There’s loads of stuff out there. Thanks for sharing, I’ll be looking at some of the others in this series

That collar as depth stop seems quite good idea. I think I'll try that one. I absolutely hate the generic rings with set screws.
@DarrensWorkshop2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jothain, How did you go with the depth stops? Do they work well, and if so which plastic did you use?
@jothain2 жыл бұрын
@@DarrensWorkshop haven't tested yet, but I think I'll try petg when time comes. I think pla might fail as drills can occasionally get quite hot. I think it's also too hard to work.

i want to recommend one cordless screwdriver to you for a test, what should i do
@DarrensWorkshop3 жыл бұрын
Hi Vigrue. That depends. Are you talking about sending me a demo unit to test, or suggesting that I buy one and test it? Cheers Darren.

@@DarrensWorkshop hi, you don't need to buy one, we offer the samples for free, that's what we always do, my email is linky@vigrue.com

Thank you for another interesting video Darren. I really like the push block. What infill % and # perimeters settings did you use to print it? I will print one for my router table. The glue station and accessories look like a good option too. Be safe and hope the lockdown ends soon. P.s. what flavour of glue do you dip your biscuits in 🤣
@DarrensWorkshop3 жыл бұрын
Lol, I’ll dip in anything rated for internal/external use. I’ve been using Sika lately, but you can’t beat Titebond 3. I know I used three perimeters on the push block, but I’m guessing when I say 30% infill. Yes, fingers crossed on the lockdown. Cheers John.

Did you consider trying these printed tools before you started filming? :-)
@DarrensWorkshop2 жыл бұрын
Hi, with the exception of the drillbit depth stops, I did try the tools before the video was filmed. I thought this was evident in the video. Can I ask why you thought otherwise.

First time watching. I have to be honest, you almost lost me right off the bat with that annoying music in your intro. Don't put any good information at the front of your video because I will for sure skip over it fast-forwarding past that annoying music.
@DarrensWorkshop Жыл бұрын
Hi Robert, I have just released 3D Prints in the workshop 27. The music is completely different and much shorter. Please let me know what you think. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rWHSfoqsrLWpgpY
