Does the master collection contain split files for the Prusa Mini? I have the old box combo and the files are split for 22cm but I'd nee it to be 18cm
@PEMontgomery3 жыл бұрын
There are a couple missing. They are split into A and B sections, but there are a couple of B's missing that could complete the sets. For instance there is a 1w x 2h "A" section with the label plate, but no 1w x 2h "B" section to create a full 1x4. There are 2 or three pieces like that. I've been printing on my Monoprice Mini and can only do a limited set, but am limited to 1x2, 1x1, or 2x2 due to the missing gap. a 1x1B, 1x2B and a 2x2B wold allow for printing at least up to a 2x4 for me. :) Overall not a huge deal though. The set is amazing.

This is a great idea and I am planning to make that for my IKEA drawers, but for me, there is one huge problem with the drill-bits tray, especially if you have OCD: it works fine only while the number of drill-bits equals the number of slots, respecting their sizes. But when you lose a drill-bit, or it wears out and you have to replace it, and you are unable to find an identical replacement, the whole thing turns into an OCD nightmare.

Awesome idea!! We need assortment boxes to fit in IKEA Kallax. @Alexandre Chappel
@stringsofair80393 жыл бұрын
You should be able to do that yourself with his standard files. Measure the width of the drawers, estimate how many squares of the grid you can fit across at standard size, then either scale up or scale down the files for printing to get it within a few mm or fractions of an inch of a perfect fit, test print the grid base and check fit. Make sure you use that scaling factor for all the other objects and check their fit. The only thing to watch out for is the height of the organizers, you would have to test it out to make sure there isn't too much dead space or that the boxes aren't too tall. I would guess it would be acceptable.
@TsiVagg3 жыл бұрын
@@stringsofair8039 thank you. We thought of that but it would alla just come awkward. Also for the files in this video resizing wouldn't work well. It would need resign. I imagine his source files are parametric so it would be much of a hushle to make the STL files and I believe it would boost his site income.
@naxxtor3 жыл бұрын
Or (ironically enough) IKEA ALEX drawers that a lot of people use for their desks. The internal dimensions are 295mm wide by 525mm deep (which doesn't fit 55x55 very well!). I wouldn't want to scale the STLs as the wall thickness would be all off.
@stringsofair80393 жыл бұрын
@@naxxtor Unless I calculated it wrong your scaling factor would be 1.072727 so it ends up being 59x59. That should get you right to 295mm wide with 5 rows and 8 columns with some space (assuming your 3D printer is close enough to printing 1:1) You could shrink it one step to be 49.166x49.166 which would be a scaling factor of 0.8939393. That would get you 6 rows and 10 columns with some space. Wall thickness is easily taken care of by setting wall thickness minimums and checking the slicer to make sure it's all good.
