Is it possible to scan first all texture images for one full rotation on the turntable and then apply scanning spray and do second round scanning the surface of the object. By this nice texture and good object scanning quality on even black and shiny parts of the object could be achieved.

Would be good but not so far. You can use dulling spray, it will solve the issue in most of the cases.

I wonder if it would be possible to use cross polarization in this scanner.... The light source would have to be from the scanner and there would have to be filters on the lenses - but I have no idea to what extent this would affect the quality of the scan. Great scanner - too bad it's so very expensive :( .

I tested it with most of the other scanners but not with the TranScan so far. I don't know why it shouldn't work.

This is a nice idea! I would just be careful that the polarizers match as much as possible as light intensity can change a lot when adjusting the angle of a circular polarizer.

Would you say that the texture quality is pretty good compared to other einscans?
@3dscanacademy766 ай бұрын
Yes, it is the best so far, if you compare.

Which light box did you use?

Just Aliexpress nothing special, buy with enough light power if you do.

Is this a good scanner for a 3D artist to scan (frosted) glass bottles, cosmetics and jewelry? Any better options out there? I was also looking at the Artec Space Spider
@3dscanacademy76 Жыл бұрын
I think no better option for the money. Space Spider is not too versatile and a quite expensive for the performance

@@3dscanacademy76 Thank you for taking the time to reply. I currently have the SP version and its image textures are too low quality for me, but the cameras on the Transcan C look much better with nice features like focus distance and aperture. Do you think this Transcan C will be able to scan smaller objects than what the SP can capture?

I'm having a bit of trouble finding a laptop with the requirements the TranScan C recommends. The list is outdated as far as requirements go, Is there a laptop out in the market right now that has the latest requirements a step above than what TransScan C requires?

If you have a RTX4XXX and a good I7 or better you will be fine.

Hi, I'm wondering about the maximum scanning size...is it 300mm width and 190mm height? I'm confused. Thanks
@3dscanacademy762 жыл бұрын
The big scanning field is 300x190mm, exactly and the small is 150x96mm with a higher max resolution. LV

@@3dscanacademy76 Thank you so much for the reply! I'm interested in using this with Unreal engine with nanite...have you tried any of the models in game engines? I also can't find any information as to what format the texture is exported. Thanks again! =)

@@gutterballz2180 They work fine resolution is good but you will come out with just a defused channel. If you know how to rework it of course you can make valuable data out of it.
