I encountered this problem a long time ago, I was using Vegas Pro 8.0a at the time. I found a torrent for 8.0c and replaced Sony Vegas with the updated version, it patched up the error and fixed a few little bugs as well. I would suggest just updating your version.

Try a RAM Preview (Shift + B) or change the resolution quality to preview quarter.

Hey people out, i need an advise or a tip.. So well i figured out now i finally have some time to use on my computer after being too busy with the damn school, and well i figured out that designs and layout is for some fun cool reason REALLY interesting me! Like it really turns my focus on playing around with these programs like Sony Vegas Pro 8, Adobe after fx, Photoshop.. And well since it's looking fun i would like to learn some of it. just a litle tip: goto preferences and set ermmm your default keyframes to 'smooth' so you dont get those sharp animations :P btw kinda basic tutorial :D, you rly have alot of the same except for the lensflare, but thats probaly from your ae experience :P

it is new. its a 64 bit dell running window 7 with the nivdia drivers and all that crap. i just got it for christmas so trust me, its not my pc. its probly something in the settings of vegas.
