Hello, not sure if you still keep up on this, but this looks like the hair reads ptex placed under xgen dir inside project folder. Is that correct?

Yes, just connect the same aiUserDataColor node to the base color and/or the diffuse color of you AiStanHair shader.

Hello i also did the same added custom texture to aiuserdata node and texture appeared but when i connected the aiuserdata colour to aistandard hair the texture disapeared. what could be the issue? someone please help please.

Hi David, your tutorial is very helpful to me, thank you. I have one question when I use more than one description in one collection, while when rendering a scene only the first description uses a special shader. How to fix it? I tried to use one custom shader for different descriptions or different shaders for each description, but the results are the same. Sure, I can use multiple collections, but I don't think that's right.

Hi!, you can use "color" for one aiuserdatacolor and "color2" for another aiuserdatacolor(dont forget create in second description shader "color2" and click save ptex). Work fine!
