This is a very well done tutorial and Luban3D is one of my favorite tools. I hope you'll continue Luban videos as the documentation doesn't do justice to the software's potential.

Thanks very much. I've got a number of other Luban videos already up but I've got a lot more I'm planning on making and look forward to them. Luban can be a great piece of software.

can Luban only design a lens for 2 images, or can it be tweaked to accommodate an interlace of several images?

just extra pricing information... all your monthly or yearly payments to Luban, gets accumulated... until u reach the permanent license price. In my case, I paid the year license price for a few years, Now I have a permanent license, so I don't have to pay anything from now on, but I still get all the new future updates.

Notice how the images are inverted???? Apparently, now we can't save anything above 1mb. Bit disappointing. Nice tut though Edit: asked for trial licence and got it within couple hours

it wont let me save it. tells me licensed computer only

The export limitations I mention for an unlicensed copy requires the file to be 20mb or less (an estimated size should be shown above the save button). I'd advise to keep using the software for now, learn how to use all the different tools that you'd like to use and get used to it all (I've got plenty more videos on the way covering the other tools), then when you're ready to go, register for the 30 day trial and install the trial license. Then you can go through creating and exporting everything without limitations

Free is too steep for you?
@dosdont6 ай бұрын
@@OnePotMeals "Free is too steep for you?" This is the problem with people like you, you can't read properly, free for a month is not free. So no, "free" is not steep, and Luban is not free.

The free trial of the full license is limited to 30 days, beyond which you need to buy a license, but to quote the LuBan3D license page, "Unregistered license: A computer can run LuBan to process and view data while saving of processed results is limited to small-sized files, not larger than 20MB". In other words, you can use it indefinitely, for free for smaller files. Beyond that you can get licenses and I honestly don't think $20 for a month (or $100 for a year) is that bad. This isn't the sort of software you're likely to need access to constantly, so you can just get a license as and when you need to. If you do feel you need access to this constantly as you're using it every week for multiple years in a row, there is also a permanent license available.

@@3DRevolution In other words, *it's not free.* I can read, if there's limitations after 30 days it's not free. It's effectively trialware and this kind of misleading "free" shouldn't be allowed. They want to call it trialware, or anything else, fine but "free" should be reserved to free, period, which Luban is not. Anything I'd want to use Luban for is larger than 20mb, not for what you're showing in the video but rather for cutting parts into smaller parts. Furthermore, don't tell others what *you* think is a reasonable amount of money per month. Are you living my life? It's obscene to charge $20 a month for an app that first of all looks like it was coded in 1980's and secondly is not an app you would use that often. It's ridiculous. "This isn't the sort of software you're likely to need access to constantly, " that's the point and the reason the price is ridiculous. Even if I were a multimillionaire I wouldn't get sucked into this scam pricing model for *this* software.

@@dosdont I never said it was free, I said you can use it for free, with limitations. Fusion 360 is a subscription based piece of software, but you can use it for free providing you're using it for personal reasons. If you use a free license it has some limitations such as limits on certain functionality, export modes, and maximum concurrent editable projects. But the fact that it's one of the most popular CAD programmes that people use legally for free, would suggest that it is in fact a piece of software you can use for free. I'm still not sure I understand your distaste for allowing free usage. The alternative is they have a 30 day free trial and after that you completely lose access to any of the software without paying for a license. What is negative about them still allowing you to use, experiment with, and learn how to use the software without having to pay for it? Again, neither I, nor LuBan3D refer to it as a free program. It does seem to me like you're having a bad day and looking to vent so I'm going to leave this for now, but I wasn't trying to imply that anyone can afford $20 a month. My point is, it's the sort of software you may only need to do a couple of things with, so you pay for it once, use it for a month and then let the license end. They get it again in the future if you need to use it again. I'm also not saying $20 is an amount that everyone can just throw around on whatever they want, but equally, for a months use of a license that has dozens of tools which can be used to create unique items for yourself, as gifts, or to sell commercially, the price of two cinema tickets seems a pretty reasonable price. Again, you say "is not an app you would use that often", that's literally my point. The licensing isn't a subscription. You buy a month when you need it, a year when you need it, or get a lifetime one off license. I never suggested that you'd subsribe to it paying $20 a month every month, or $100 a year every year. Anyway, I hope you manage to have a good rest of your Sunday and have a better week next week. All the best.
