When you get to the moon right as the N64 Rainbow Road part is about to start and suddenly the percussion cuts out to just leave the melody over quiet, it's just so beautiful. When I first heard that I thought the percussion cutting out for the start of that section was just part of the remix itself and I was like "OH MY GOODNESS THAT'S SICK," I didn't even know it was the music changing a bit due to being on the moon at first. Honestly it would be cool if someone uploaded a video of the music where it switches to the moon version at the N64 part.

The moon theme honestly got a little nerfed ngl... the original felt very distinct from the main version of the song, as instead of only muting the drums they took out the vast majority of the instruments, and I think swapped out the lead synth. This one mainly just sounds like the usual 8 version without drums, but it also tones down the bass a little too much.

Controversial opinion, but I vastly prefer the 3ds version of this song 8D doesn't feel as subtle, and I'm not a fan of the instrumentation Visually the track is gorgeous though
