Nice explanation with all of the calm that is needed for a beginner. I would just point one thing, when you digit 400 in "Pressure Load" i think you are putting 400 Pa in that surface that should be 0.003 m^2. It means that there is a load of 1,2 N applied.

When submittion, it starts to run, but a couple seconds later, the running is "aborted". Why is this? I think I have done everything exactly the same.....I am using Abaqus/CAE student Edition 2021 THE ERRORS: Error in job LoadedBarbellStand: A CONSOLIDATION ANALYSIS IS NOT MEANINGFUL BECAUSE NO PERMEABILITY DATA HAVE BEEN GIVEN. Error in job LoadedBarbellStand: DEGREE OF FREEDOM 8 AND AT LEAST ONE OF DEGREES OF FREEDOM 1 THRU 6 MUST BE ACTIVE IN THE MODEL FOR *SOILS. CHECK THE PROCEDURE AND ELEMENT TYPES USED IN THIS MODEL.

You wanted to apply 40kg(400N) as weight, but you applied that in the "Pressure" category. So, that would mean, you applied 400N/m2 on that face, not a weight of 400N, right? Or am I missing something? I just started to learn Abaqus, which is why I am getting a little confused.

You're right and can refer to the Abaqus documentation by selecting the "arrow+?" symbol and clicking on the "Magnitude" field while editing the load.

Isnt the unit of the Load defined incorrectly? you said 400N but ABAQUS requests pressure. In your units, wouldnt that be 400N/surface Area of surface where pressure is applied (in m squared)?

He goes to pressure option > Select some area > Give the force to be applied in that area. The software finishes the work.
