Hi! Between this video and a conversation I had with Mike on the FB SCAL group, I figured it out. Ive been trying to do this on Design Space with the particular image I wanted to use...what a pain (that program leaves a lot to be desired)! I was doing the happy dance when I took advantage of your Black Friday special, bought SCAL, and discovered the tracing tool. I even discovered I could eliminate some of the layers so there is only 2 of them. Now I need to figure out how to do this with cut only fonts 😁

Leo, how can I separate out 2 colors in a png file and layer them in an svg file

Hi, Mary! After you have traced your image using the tips in this video you would just need to ungroup your image and you will have the 2 layers.

very clear tutorial. My image in the end still has over 3k nodes. granted it is a complex image, i just want to make sure everything is good. if anybody or yourself has any tips for large images please lmk. I am using a UScutter MH871
