Still hate the term "character action game" because it is so terrible as a descriptor of what the gameplay is going to be like. God of War, Bayonetta, and Devil May Cry are Spectacle Fighters because the primary focus of combat is not efficiency but looking cool and badass.

The traversal in Forspoken kind of reminds me of a more refined version of the traversal in the last FFXV dlc "Episode: Ardyn". I'm happy Square-Enix gave the FFXV dev team a chance to make their own ip. Hopefully the finished product is great.

might the gunlance damage reduction shown be because you were fighting monsters that were resistant or immune to fire? gunlance shells and stuff do have some fire damage in them after all and the patch list doesnt show a damage decrease but the 3.2.0 shows that artillery was not applying to the fire damage portion of the shelling but now is

Glad to see Soul Sacrifice finally get some well deserved attention. Still need to get Delta. They've added so much according to what Gaijin said. Looks like I gotta finish some games on my PSTV so I can make some stuff for it. And Rurikhan, the PSTV can mimic the touch controls by clicking L3 and R3, and the touch pad on a DS4 if I remember correctly. I know that the Soul Sacrifice doesn't work on PSTV, and part of the Japanese reveal of the PSTV showed it running Delta. Sony does have a white list for games that are able to boot on the system, and they differed by region if I remember correctly

"grotesque versions of classic fairy tales" people always forget how fucked up original fairy tales are because their so used to the overly friendly disney versions and the like, for example the classic ending to Little Red Riding Hood involves the woodsman cutting open the wolf's stomach to free the grandma and then stuffing it full of rocks and torturing it by placing it just out of reach of water while it can't move because of the previously mentioned stomach full of rocks

Are fairy tales fucked up? Yes, no doubt about it. Grotesque? Not in a sense that soul Sacrifice is. Because damn there are some Berserk-worthy designs and they are all sorts of fucking weird - Odin with his Brain-horse, Fetus-gods, Ouroboros whose design might've as well represent biblically accurate angel (well, less eyes and rings, but still), Leviathan who's just weird, all the rest look like a distorted parody on fairytails, which they also don't hide, since there are great fragments of stories in monsters' entries. Then there's also aspect of the Sorcerers in general with Save or Sacrifice system, with the underlying things happening between sorcerers of different factions Man, that game is great, ima go play through it again

I know it's like 0.9% of the video but Ruri, you should try using the motion controls of Gran Turismo Sport on the PS4. It's the closest thing a controller will ever get from becoming a wheel. There are videos of sim racing nerds trying the motion controls for the first time after playing decades with wheel and they literally match their best times within 4 races. That's how good it is, and I 100% expect it to be on GT7. As for Gaijin, WRC9 is a rally game and it's one of the best uses of the DualSense so far.

All this talk about Soul Sacrifice and the brief mention of Toukiden actually made want to play those games XD I´m searching for those games on Amazon and cex and found them at reasonable prices but since I don´t have my Vita around right now I don´t know if they are cheaper as a digital version, could someone let me know or if there are better offers? The delta version of Soul Sacrifice is a bit mor expensive than what i Thought XD Also, which Toukiden game should i start with?

Toukiden Kiwami, its the G rank version of Toukiden age of demons. SS Delta is probably a biiit cheaper digitally compared to getting an asian physical.

@@LaughingBat You could've just downloaded an ISO and play it there with Adrenaline, along with the rest of the PSP MH games. I get wanting to support the developers, but Capcom isn't making it easy to play older MH games. Also, MHFU is the only MH game available on Vita in NA, while EU has every game except P3rd and JP has all of them, so screw you if you want to play any game before MHFU. People wonder why people use emulation and ROM sites, and it's because the free alternative is so much better than the one you have to pay for, along with being far more convenient.

i bought a vita because i was following vita list of games religiously since i was a psp gamer for a while and soul sacrifice was one of the games that i keep imagining playing, i even ask a friend who has vita before me how was the game but they didn't seem to like it(they were playing the base game) but everytime i watch a youtube video of the gameplay my interest just grew bigger and bigger so when a someone from my local ps group wanted to sell his psvita i jump on it then someone else wanted to sell their physical copy of Delta(it was for the asian market but its was in english)for $15 this was actually the first game i bought for my vita. never regret that purchase actually i feel that it was a steal on how lucky i was on the purchased

*oh my gog* I didn't even pay attention to who was making the wolverine game. I played the crap out of the first two Infamous games because of how much fun it was and the combat only made it more fun. I've been meaning to play the other series in the infamous world but all I can hope is that wolverine comes to PC now. Sucker punch does good stuff :)

10 minute hunts? I'm trying this game out, 25/8 Save/Sacrifice split, and these monsters are taking 20 minutes at 6 star difficulty. I'm half considering just dumping all my stats into sacrifice for dmg

If it's any reference, I can take down 15-star Cinderella in 4m45s with a 50:50 grim build, or 4m25s with a 99:1 sanctuary build (with a messily 100 attack). One thing that can help you in early to mid game is purely focus on specalizing in a specific weapon (like spear for sanctuary) and just focus on getting the higher level versions of the sigils and you should be good. Once you get access to Behemoth (the tree), farm it. It's spell is the best in the game imo, since you get +200 attack for half the hunt, then you can do it again ^^

What annoy me is that Soul sacrifice WASN'T some hidden unknow gem; it was one of the most popular game of the vita (together with gravity rush) it was a system seller and they were ton of news and hype for the game. basically everyone who was interested in the vita or MH like game knew about this game (or maybe i just hangout with too many MH enjoyer '-'). i remember that it was for a long time, first, in populary poll for the vita on some french video game site and the forum for the game on that site were also full of member. It sadden me that such an unique game which was more popular than killzone mercenary, toukiden ,god eater at that time ( 2013-2014) faded away because it's stayed excluse whereas Toukiden, god eater and gravity rush leave the vita for ps3/ps4 and stayed relevant for years ( well rip gravity rush now)
