This is for 14 and newer 13 and older you just push the pink button in the bottom of cup holder to take it out of park. This is for the ones with knob shifter not shift lever

Great video, thx! I am still having an issue… it is not coming out of gear. Any idea what would still be keeping in locked in gear?

Make sure you pulled lever up til it clicks and locks - that is for dead battery or trans shifter not working when you have fully electronic shifter as in video. Can’t really tell you much more because I never saw your vehicle. If battery is fully dead - replace or recharge. Thx for watching

Ok so I just did a rack and pinion on one and had to do this but I got it all back together and now check engine light won’t go off on it for po850 code

Make sure all wires and sensors are hooked up correctly for one. P0850 is usually for park neutral position sensor / switch
