OMG thank you for sharing.I’m going into year 4 and I am so excited to get back into my classroom. I love school, the structure, the organizing, planning and the ability to inspire little ones. It is truly in my heart.

It's great to see your classroom set-up videos! I also love planning, setting up my classrooms (I'm a K-5th traveling art teacher), and creating so many different things. Ideas for your BEST day sign: if you can, I think it would look best if you can fit it all above the door. And I agree, the letters do need a black background or outline. You can either glue them to a black sheet of butcher paper or trace each letter with a black sharpie. Your room is looking great!

I knew I wanted to be an elementary teacher when I was in elementary school, and I never changed my mind. I struggled with some anxiety during student teaching, and then spent my first several years afterward in a private school and then as a substitute teacher. But this year is my 26th in public school, which is almost unbelievable. It goes by so fast, and I still love it!

8:08 - 10:05 First, thank you for sharing! I could tell that was heartfelt and genuine. At some point, if you're willing, can you please talk more about that? What were some of the signs and symptoms? How did you work through it? Was there something specific that helped you out of the slump? I don't mean to pry. As a veteran teacher, I can relate on some levels. I also mentor new teachers who, understandably, experience the full range of emotions. I would appreciate another perspective on if it's a slump or if it's time to switch careers . Thank you!!

I feel the same way about setting up my classroom, doing all the planning, and then teaching of the kids ... 26 years in and I still love it!

I had the best day with you! Without today. That makes it so you might fit it along the doorframe?

i had that suggestion a few times! thank you!!

Welcome back! Another idea for your calendar is to put the numbers in backward and then flip them as you get to each day. For the quote above the door, I'd try to fit two rows of text above the door and see how that looks.
