Thanks for the sub! It was my buddy who designed the box and machined the intake manifold!

Did you hard solder those lugs or used cold solder? I would buy a hydraulic crimper and crimp those on because (cold) soldering a lug on the big power cables is a fire waiting to happen...

Very cool 3D printing! Which new printer did you get? Personally I much prefer dry filtration, but should still work well of course. That gauge setup came out pretty awesome too. Very motorcycle inspired. With how consistent the compression results were, highly doubt there is anything wrong with the engine. Possible timing is off though? I'd expect at least 40-50 psi higher than that generally. Good stuff!

Flash forge ad5m non pro with an enclosure. It’s smaller than my old CR-10 but so much fast and no failed prints so far. Thank you! Yea I’m still gonna drive it lol

Add oil in the cylinders and do the compression test again . If the reading does not change it’s loosing compression from the valves . I did does increase you have ring / cylinder issues like you saw with the camera but you could also have stuck rings . Try an engine oil flush and check comp again . Good luck ! Greetings from far away Greece .

Really liked the 3D printed parts! When you did the compression test looks like the throttle wasn't opened. If it isn't open you will not get a high reading. Try doing a compression test with the throttle open. If the numbers come up and pretty even across then motor should be ok.

I did it with the throttle open and a different tester it was a little better

Amazing build I hope to get 3s for my wagon soon too! 😍 One question I have for alternator battery led light you added in dash. I remove my dash and install tach only but alternator does not charge now. I read I need keep alternator dash light bulb and was wondering if led indicator you used can work same way to turn alternator on or if I need use actual oem 12v dash lightbulb?
@kelvinarreola5 ай бұрын
I don’t believe the bulb matters, mine isn’t even working right

would you ever put a heat shield near the air filter to prevent it from melting?

Coming from a Mitsubishi 4G64 guy but, while that’s low compression, the engines not blown. Could be valve seats, could be rings… either way the engine is just worn. But I have seen plenty of people make lots of power on tired engines that had low compression but had forced induction… obviously your NA and so… I wouldn’t expect big numbers but I’d say if your in a time crunch so long as bearings are fine… meh tune it and run it, then buy everything for a engine rebuild and freshen it up later… probably going to burn some oil and be down on power is all.
