There is already a merging of amateur wrestling with submission grappling. It called catch wrestling. Although I admit catch wrestlers haven't done well in submission grappling.

catch wrestling has the problem of being viewed as a historical oddity so it attracts historians and hobbyists. much less of a pool of people that want to be elite athletes.

Thing is, people don't realize how insane Jason is. One match away from the Olympic team! One of PSU's greatest of all time! Learned everything from Ken Chertow videos! Amazing!! And having Bo there, too, is wild as hell.
