My heart hurt watching your 30 for 30 because I knew you weren't where you wanted to be. My heart was full watching this video. Very emotional for me. So inspiring. You may not have the papers but you're a real doctor to many. Thank you for sharing your story.

Man.. I always loved Doc Gooden even through all of his problems. As a native New Yorker growing up as a teenager in the early and mid eighties, Doc and the Mets were phenomenal to watch! I’m so glad that Dwight and Darryl are doing well now because they were magical baseball players! I still think they are hall of fame players based on their impact on baseball and their contributions to World Series baseball teams! I know they may never be inducted into Cooperstown but hey.. I saw them in real time for the Yankees and the Mets! Legendary! 💯

Same here bro. Became a fan in 1986 and it baffles me how good they were in spite of all the partying. Imagine how good they both would’ve been if they never got involved with the junk. Scary.

1:21:35 man I know this exact feeling. Feel like this often and almost died by my own hands and felt the exact same way. No matter how badly you don’t want to be here anymore, it’s still hard to pull the trigger and I just didn’t know why it was so hard, as miserable as I get sometimes. It’s just in our natural makeup as a living being to resist dying by any means necessary, no matter how hopeless you feel.

I'm so tired of the "White MLB players didn't hit against black pitchers!" nonsense! Stop it! There is no evidence that black pitchers are better than white pitchers at any point in the history of baseball. A great pitcher is a great pitcher! Babe Ruth played against Negro League players in barnstorming exhibition games and he did great against them. He did just as well or better against them than he did against MLB pitchers.

@Dan-tt8snАй бұрын
Dwight Gooden was a pretty good hitting pitcher and did indeed win a silver slugger award for the pitching position in 1992, where he batted .264, with a HR, 3 doubles, and even a triple. Lol. As a Mets fan, I vividly remember that home run. It was a two run shot in a close game against the Giants. There were no Ohtanis back then, so those stats were impressive for a pitcher. Still not sure if Vlad thought this was some sort of pitching award though, in which case you’re correct and that’s hilarious that he wouldn’t know that.
@milart12Ай бұрын
