About to use this method for the second time on my Trek. Absolutely the best ribs I've ever had. Thank you, this method is fantastic!

The ribs look awesome. I will be smoking some tomorrow, weather permitting, for labor day. I haven't tried the 4-1-1 method yet, but it looks just as good as the 3-1-1 method. Keep smoking!

I was just curios after getting Pitts and Spitz why the Davy Crockett is that just for smaller cooks. If you were to replace Oklahoma offset what might be it's replacement. Shirley Fab, Lonestargrillz,Gator Pit. How about kamatos what are your preferences. RIBS look great.

John Knapp yep just wanted something for smaller cooks and I like buying grills haha. And if I was to get another offset it would be a Yoder.

Does 4-1-1 makes meat more tender than 3-2-1? Or other way around?
@MadHorseBBQ
@MadHorseBBQ 4 жыл бұрын
StickShift it honestly depends on how big the rack is. But I think they turn out good either way. Lately I’ve been rubbing ribs at 275 and more of a 2-1-.5

I shit you not. But i was able to smoke 3 full racks on my davey! I used the 3 2 1 method. The brown sugar and honey wrap is genius.

@@MadHorseBBQ I'm right there with you on sweet baby Ray's sauce... I unfortunately grew up with KC Masterpiece, but once I tried SBR I was hooked. But whenever I throw a bbq get together I have both sauced and unsauced ribs
