Exactly the num 1 reason for all these roadway and infrastrutural development.....in anticipation of the massive movement of goods around the island one the logistics hub comes into inception...this is the main reason ....not for the efficient movement of regular jamaican.....all good anyway because they will benefit regardless...

This May Pen to Williamsfield leg of the Southern Coastal Highway project is far more substantial than expected. The Chinese contractors and Jamaican workers have taken on a massive job. This project seems to be heading into 2023 before completion.

Can't wait for the additional roads (exits/entrances) that will be added to the current east-west toll between old harbour and spanish town. Toll agency announced it. Will help lessen the traffic on old harbour road at the round-about during the evenings.

Nice video and progress report. I think that bridge will probably be the longest , I can’t say since it’s not yet completed ; there’s a long one in st Thomas. It won’t be the only 4 lane bridge though, there’s one that goes across the Rio Cobre on the North South Highway . You won’t notice it while driving but it’s close to the Angels interchange.

There's a *Phase 2B* From *Williamsfield* to *Montego Bay* - the general alignment of that stretch is not yet clearly defined. Some maps shown the route of the final leg to *Mobay* is thru *Saint Elizabeth, Westmoreland* up into *Cambridge.* . Nice video as always brotha... 🤔

Those columns looks very small for a four lane road I lived in the USA and I have to think real hard to remember where in the USA I saw columns that narrow for a four lane road , this just leave me to wonder if Jamaica my homeland is getting quality for money , or is it that we just digging a deep hole for generations to come .

The columns are at the required with, it's the height that the bridge will be on completion why the columns looking that narrow, but really they're not. This bridge will be the longest in Jamaica, n one of the tallest on completion.

I noticed too every Jamaican newly built road gets washed up in a few months and look old when American new roads last for years before paint rubs out etc I think China is making Jamaica some cheap roads

It is not the Chinese, the road surface hight has to do with the contract. Jamaica can request or ask for a thicker road surface but it will cost more. They can even use crush gravel or concrete has a base but they prefer using marl that is not the Chinese fault.

Vividly remember that terrible accident. If I recall, 13 souls were lost. Three members of one family, returning from the funeral of their loved one, on their way to the airport in Kingston, perished in that catastrophe. It is important for us when travelling on our roads, to pay attention to what the local persons tell you. Their advice was ignored. People tried to stop that minibus that fateful trip. So sad.
