I loved Katrina's painting. When Elli told her to add the complementary sienna's I was like 😱 noooo..., why? After seeing the results, I was amazed. The colours were so beautiful and it really added so much extra depth to it. Her advice really made a difference in every painting. Tanya is so good natured and it shows in all her artwork. Can't wait to see what happens next episode!

Tanya's & Jessie's painting were the best this time in my opinion. I disagree with the judges, but everyone is different. Tanya's work is very unique and her style has a child-like innocence, which I think is what she accomplished. And, I can totally see what Jessie was going for, which was very difficult, but a brilliant idea. I think she did pull it off. But, good luck to all the artists as it is not over yet! 😍🤩😍
@ltwig47610 ай бұрын
I noticed right away that sun was fighting the rest of her painting. I kept screaming dam, pull lit out get it of there! Definitely thought hers was the best, except I couldn't, for that one extremely major flaw blew the entire painting. Katrina did show the greatest painterly talent and all of the art work they did, I desperately disagree. So I also gave it to Katrina for her painting skill.
@plan4life10 ай бұрын
I think that “child-like innocence“ is ultimately what got her eliminated. That sun and the mountains looked like little thought were put into the strokes and for me didn’t tie in well with the rest of the painting. The overall message seemed lost.

I was also rooting for Tanya, I was sad to see her eliminated, I hope she does well at redemption, she deserve the win. Sorry but Bri should've been gone this time as well as a few other times.
@lisafinnegan790510 ай бұрын
Is today opposite day? Cause that's the only reason I can come up with as to why the results were the way they were. Bri should have been let go. I was confused looking at her painting. I had to keep squinching my eyes to figure out what it was she had painted. I loved Tanya's and Jesse's. Their paintings drew me in and took me Into a different world. They are the outstanding artists of this competition.
@annathewiserart10 ай бұрын
I loved Tanya and Jessi's best - I'd hang Tanya's on my wall. I feel like Tanya's was the most different and creative of the bunch. She and Jessi are the most unique and recognizable artists on the show, their artistic voice always shines through and I'd hang their art on my wall any day (I have a few of Jessi's pieces already and will snag one of Tanya's one day!). Bringing in guest judges would be a good idea in the future. A lot of the art the judges choose seems to be based on personal preference and the style they primarily teach at their school. The fact that they are family tends to make their opinions seem very similar. Nothing is wrong with that in itself, but it gets to be too much of the same style over and over after a while and either having the audience vote (like in the first season) or having guest judges would help with this.
@lizevandeven790410 ай бұрын
Looking at the paintings alone, I also do not see how Bri gets through each time.. but it is their show - and they can judge however they want. I love watching it either way. Great job artists and everyone who made it happen. I loved Jessi's painting.

Why??? I knew this was going to happen. Jessi and Tanya's paintings were far more interesting. Why do the judges keep trying to dull down the artists' colors and styles? Stay bold Jessi and Tanya! You are both amazing painters, stay true to your style!

I liked Jesse and Katrina's the most - Really unique and both have such identifiable and recognisable voices - you can spot their work in any gallery, and that I believe is a signature of an outstanding artist. Again, I believe the judges missed a huge opportunity in having Jesse and Katrina in the paint-off finale. That would have been an exciting battle I'm sure. Where people would have been really excited to come back and watch. Love Bri's work - but she is not at the level of skill as Jesse and Katrina quite yet... and these paintings showed it xo

@janinafisher10110 ай бұрын
I thought Bri's was a pretty amazing concept, but I agreed that it didn't feel quite finished, especially at the bottom, otherwise it was #1 for me. Jesse's concept of doing a reflection was also pretty amazing, but I think it was ambitious for the time and circumstances. I know Tanya's work, and this didn't seem as deep and as rich to me as her usual work, but in the moment she was happy with it, and I think that was very important in terms of moving forward in her mind and her work. Katrina really worked fast, which was impressive. She took Elli's critique and went with it. It wasn't my favourite of her work in this competition either but it DID seem the most finished. They all did really amazingly well given the crazy conditions and time constraints, and I think they will all go on to be amazing artists.

I disagree with the judges. I think Brie and Jessie’s paintings weren’t refined/rendered enough. I think Tanya and Katrina nailed it. Editing this to also add that I agree with other commenters here that Brie should have been let go several challenges back. I’m sorry, but I totally disagree with the judging. Agape love symbolizes God’s unconditional love, and I did not see any of that in Tanya‘s painting. It was just another collage, modernish painting. The other women put their hearts into it and they were cut down by Ellie. I’m really disappointed. I’m hoping we will vary the judges if there is another season.

They all did well. However none of them used the beautiful landscape in front of them, incorporate that visual to their own style, and a couple were too comfortable using photo references. I found that interesting. The two that didn't use photo references and used their vision were more interesting and unique. That vision makes the best artists.
