DudeGuy1973 the rear buckets are a unique look for sure, really gives it a custom setup. When the rear buckets are in, the seats are more centered and a bit higher so you get a stadium seating feel.

I have a back injury back in 2016 from my dirt bike, I bought my JK brand new in 2013 sahara, added 35 and 3 inch complete kit ( built for DD and dunes , no rocks where i live). However I cannot ride my jeep for more than 30-60 minutes without hurting my back, and should take atleast a 2 minutes walk before jumping again. I dont have local shops that sells seats for the JK except for the plastic bucket racing seat with minimal cloth. I need the most comfortable seats with lumbar support ( i dont care about the looks or how sporty they are) , i am a short and slim 5.7 and 135lbs. Since I cannot feel, try or ship them back. I have to make sure they are good for my back before I purchase them. I really love my jeep and i wont sell it 😊. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks 🙏🏼

Great video and install tips. There is no mention of the factory seat side air bag or crash sensor module wiring that is part of many newer JK seats. Do the PRP seats come ready to connect up to the wring harness that is laying on the floor?
@RockTrooperJeep7 жыл бұрын
Len Silvester they do not. The seats do not have any connectors for the OEM plugs.
@LenSilvester7 жыл бұрын
Thank you John. Do you know if PRP is working on this? I would think removing part of the factory seat safety system could at some point cause a malfunction in the airbag system and cause a lot of liability problems if the vehicle was ever in an accident and someone was hurt because they system was altered?
@RockTrooperJeep7 жыл бұрын
I do not know if PRP is. When I was shopping aftermarket seats I had not found anyone that made suspension seats that have the built in airbag functions to mate up to the OEM setup. Possibly as the JK matures and the OEM seats start to wear/become more uncomfortable, that we may see a step up in the demand for vendors to connect up to OEM plugs, including the airbag setup.
@justinconstant38403 жыл бұрын
@@LenSilvester We do not have plans to do this. Even 3 years later. The seats are intended for off-road use.

1000 hours of UV protection is only 41 days. If there is 10 hours of sunlight in a day that would equate to 100 days. Does that mean the 700-1000 hours of UV protection would wear off after just 100 days in an open top jeep?
@scottb.innovations43865 жыл бұрын
is there a uv problem at night. so then if you use sunrise and sunset it more like 90 days

What did y'all do with the stock seats that were taken out. If they were in good condition, I could sure use them. I absolutely love the PRP seats, and I am about to begin an install on $4000 worth of seats. Why is it no one gives really any information regarding mounting the factory seatbelts, or the 4.3 harness. I have both, what’s up? Is it illegal thing? I am just trying to find the best way to incorporate the fact receipt belt for normal driving, and the 4.3 harness for off-road. Does anybody anywhere have any information or good videos to watch on how they did it, or an installation video?

The PROBLEM with this video (And I'd like to qualify this statement by saying this is the only problem I've EVER had with any of Brad's videos) is that this video doesn't address one of the most important and frustrating issues with after market seats: The issue of reattaching all the seat and belt sensors so that the air bag system operates correctly. Can anyone direct me to a tutorial for dealing with the airbag system when installing aftermarket seats?
@stephenreynolds13762 жыл бұрын
Did you find out about this?
@robthewaywardwoodworker99567 жыл бұрын
Hey man, you guys all seem to be in the know with all things Jeep... great video BTW... I installed some of the Smittybilt SRC seats in my 1989 YJ and they were so much thicker than the crappy old seats that I couldn't even get my legs under the steering wheel. I swapped out the stock column for a like year Cherokee tilt column and solved that part but the next problem was the seat is just high enough that I can't comfortably reach the freaking pedals! WTH! So anyway, you guys do lots of custom stuff and aftermarket add-ons, I thought maybe someone out there may have a solution to this. Thanks and keep putting out those videos! (the new beadlocks look boss).
