I mean you'd lost the warranty but I don't see why not if you find someone competent willing to map it. The engine is kind of detuned from factory from what I've seen
@juzoli4 жыл бұрын
@@juanordonezgalban2278 Well, you lose your warranty because you have the risk of losing the engine itself. The engine is rated to 260, maybe 280 for short period, because that’s where it has good reliability, and not above that. There are cases where they accidentally overbuilt the engine, and it can handle much more with ease, but we will not know it until a few hundred tuners have tried it.

@@juzoli I laughed pretty hard at the powerups lol thank you. I still like this button idea. Hoping it gets played with by tuners in the near future.

Amazing vídeo! I like a lot the way you go to the details on every video! Very good bro! Keep pushing! Only one think,i know you like a lot Cars,etc but you can do some vídeos with motorcycle technology too. So your channel would be even more richet with information and covers more audience. Its just an idea 🙂 Mery Christmas and Happy New Year 😊

Hey what's happening I've purchase a 2020 Hyundai veloster turbo r spec I've changed out the Mufflers and exhaust tips it's loud enough for me with all the pops gurgling and burbling especially in cold start and I've changed out the spoiler N and I've tested drive the veloster N with a six speed manual transmission it's fast and thanks for sharing your videos with me 👋👍🙂♥️

Look like they pay pretty penny - you let out both of your cars from the garage? Unbelievable.

Any chance we could get a video about turbo surge/the flutter sound and if it's bad for your car or not? The difference between off throttle and on throttle surge? There is a lot of disagreement and I would trust your opinion Thanks

This is an excellent and clever way for Hyundai to advertise the Veloster N. Thank you both!

I have to say that "N power shift" "technology" is pretty funny... not cutting engine power during shifts is how every automatic transmission worked until DBW engines came along. And re launching on a DCT vs. traditional manual transmission, what you say about the "abuse tolerance" of single-plate dry vs. multi-plate wet clutches makes sense, but consider that replacing a traditional clutch is a whole lot easier and cheaper than rebuilding the clutches on a DCT.

Good informative video. But as a KDM fan I truly hate it when youtubers get paid lots of cash to promote Hyundai instead of speaking facts or expressing genuine opinions.
@hellaacapella3 жыл бұрын
If you plan on long-term ownership of this car, a DCT would be way more money to maintain and eventually fix vs a simple manual trans

Hyundai does some...interesting....things with their transmissions. Not always for the better. The 6-spd conventional automatic in my 18 Elantra seems to electronically reduce throttle during gear transitions, I assume to reduce wear on the clutch packs and perhaps smooth the shifting.
@ThatOddGarage4 жыл бұрын
They also have a ton of lag in the manuals as well, heel-toe shifting is pretty much impossible, the throttle is electronic and doesn't let you get too aggressive.. I had a 15 forte with the 2.0 and a 6MT and ran into this issue often.
@palebeachbum4 жыл бұрын
@@ThatOddGarage I hate electronically controlled throttles. They often don't feel like they're calibrated accurately and give an artificial feeling. I think they are one of the worst automotive technologies made commonplace in car over the last 20yrs.

In nearly half of century of driving I never went without at least one MT vehicle in my garage until I bought a DCT GTI in 2013. When I replaced it in 2018 with a MK7 GTI I didn't hesitate to go with a DCT again. I'd still choose a manual transmission Miata simply for the heritage in a pure sports car with limited power but otherwise I'd never go back to a manual transmission vehicle. No more than I'd return to a car without power assisted steering or fuel injection.

@Foxtrot Oscar waay better the focus RS had so many issues ford didn't even bother fixing the engine they just discontinued it. The ford mustang ecoboost has the same engine as the RS however with a smaller turbo and they don't blow up under 40,000kms anymore but still have issues.
