Hi remi! We just went to Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Osaka which was an absolute blast! I kept on telling my mom “new videos came out these could help us out for our trip!” And they sure did. We stayed for 10 days and wish we could longer, loved it absolutely so much. Thank you❤

Arashiyama Bamboo Grove was a nice serene place to visit at 6.30am but as soon as it hit 8am it was crowded with tour groups. A nice idea to visit those places that you mentioned. Thanks for the awesome videos.

Love it!! Do you know if there’s a higher chance of earthquakes, tsunami, or typhoons in the summer? We were planning to visit this winter but we moved it earlier to June instead. Thank you!! Love your vlogs and keep it up :)
@remishimazu7 ай бұрын
tbh i only know that typhoon season is mainly over the summer during July-September.. be prepared for hot weather in June! But bring layers because if it's hot outside, Japan sometimes overcompensates by cranking up the AC in some of the more modern places lol (or at least this was my experience). I'm so glad you're liking my vlogs. I hope you have a great time on your trip! :)

LOVE your videos Remi! My husband and I are going to Japan in May and we religiously watch your videos for inspiration for our itinerary. Thanks so much for sharing! Have a question, Where can we get the Japan Eki stamp book? Is this mandatory to travel around Japan via train? Thanks ❤
@remishimazu6 ай бұрын
Hi!! I'm so glad you're enjoying my videos and find them helpful. I wouldn't say having an eki book is mandatory but I love collecting train stamps! The stamps are a fun way to see what each area is known for (as it's represented on the stamp itself). I wrote a blog post with more info on it if you're interested. Linked here: lifestylebyremi.com/japan-eki-train-stamps/ I created my own eki stamp book which is the one featured in this video (lifestylebyremi.com/product/japan-eki-stamp-book-my-travel-diary-purple/). However, you can also find them in bookstores near train stations in Japan. They're a little hard to find but if you ask a sales associate, they can point you in the right direction. I hope this was helpful! Have so much fun on your trip :)

This is the video I needed! We will be traveling to Japan in couple months and staying in Arashiyama for a few days. Most of the other videos on YT seem to only focus on the main tourist spots, but I’m looking for things a little more chill slightly off the beaten path. My older daughter likes moss and nature, so I think the Otagi Nenbutsuji temple will be perfect. And that historical preserved street looks so cool! Quick question: Is that foot bath place hard to get a reservation for (and which site did you use again)? - thanks!
@remishimazu4 ай бұрын
Hi! I'm so glad you found some places to add to your itinerary :) the foot bath place was easy to grab a reservation. Here's the link:klook.tp.st/4x7fnUVU For additional itinerary details, you can reference this blog post: lifestylebyremi.com/4-day-japan-travel-itinerary-kyoto-nara/ I hope you have a great time in Japan!

@remishimazu - thanks again! We just spent 4 days in Arashiyama and loved it. One of the highlights was going to the Otagi Nenbutsuji temple and then walking down that preserved street with its little shops and stumbling upon that mini bamboo forest. It seems not many tourist know about the preserved street. We are now on our way to the Mount Fuji area for the second part of our trip (on the Shinkansen as I type this).

Hello, After purchasing the limited ticket train from Kyoto to Nara, do you have to insert both tickets to pass? Or touch IC card then insert the special ticket? Thanks

@remishimazu7 ай бұрын
You can get one from the Japanese bookstores but they're a little hard to find. The one shown in my video is one I created that you can purchase here: lifestylebyremi.com/product/japan-eki-stamp-book-my-travel-diary-purple/
