Couple things: 1. Love when you incorporate aboriginal knowledge into ur videos 2. Respect for paying for the drone permit 3. These videos are continually getting more and more polished, this one was an eye opener 4. Love ur humble vibes That’s a 10 from me mate, keep it up!

I have a lot of respect for you and what you do. My first instinct probably would have been to eat those trout but the fact that you went for the catch and release humbled me. Your respect for nature is a beautiful thing. I saw another video when you went to Uluru and took the hike around it instead of climbing up it, respecting the aboriginal peoples request. You give me hope that humanity is not as horrible as I sometimes fear it is. Carry on brother.
@Lord_of_Snels2 жыл бұрын
I mean, trout are not a native species, they have destroyed native fish and small fauna populations everywhere they have been introduced just like carp and tilapia, but unlike these fellow pests, continue to be supported due to some human value that is placed upon them, trout have no right to be respected as if they belong in our waterways, just like all other feral pests

Loving the new video so far, mate. You’re right about the Salami - look for ‘Dry cured’ on the packaging. Usually in small but noticeable print somewhere on the back. It can be really hit n miss finding the stuff at woolies etc. I’ve taken the refrigerator versions with me though, hasn’t seemed an issue for a few days out bush. Anyway, back to the video!

Brilliant Scotty. Mate in the small streams a smaller 3wt rod 7 to 8 foot rod with a 3 pound tippet is a lot less spooky to the fish. Royal Wolff or Adams dry in size 14 , 16. Nymphs brown size 12,16. Be stealthy.

You're spot on about the scar tree, there's no natural explanation for that and the age is right, 1-200 years by the size & regrowth. The salami you want is direct from the deli counter, the sort they normally have hanging up unwrapped. The salami in plastic has too much moisture trapped in it, you don't want it getting sweaty in your pack. You could also try taking it frozen the day you leave. Pan fried salami with veg, cheese & toasted bread is awesome 👍 Your videography is just stunning mate... That trout in the net, beautiful...

Another great video. Way to go Scotty. You've come a long ways. Unlike other tarp setups you've done the one you did on day 2 in this video is the best. I'd like to try that. I've never bivied before either. It's October and the winter rain has started in Seattle, and in the mountains. It's going to be a long wait for Spring.
