Hi Scotty, awesome trip, you make me so home sick, just watching this. Thank you for sharing. I apologise if this has already been done, but i would be interested to know what make/model of equipment you take with you ie canoe, tent, cooker, rod and reel etc etc. You seem to have the art down to a T of packing light, but have everything you could ever need on a trip like this, a skill that is much harder than people would think. If you are able to share it would be greatly appreciated.

I thought i'd leave a comment to say, your films have got such good re-watch value! They're just perfect to enjoy with a GnT in hand after a rough day at work or when I need a pick me up. Be proud that you're making something that lasts, if you sold blu-rays i'd buy them!

The only major pest Aetearoa New Zealand has had are himan beings and the pests they brought. Tryiing to eradicate the vermin, like rats, stoats, weasels is ongoing. But the humans will remain and must embrace the gift of nature like you. Even Aussies precious possums are a bloody pest and there road kill encouraged.

Fair suck of the sav Scotty that was choice! When I did the Fiorland Tracks decades ago I was given a hint to keep the sandflies off. A teaspoon of methylated spirits over 3 days prior to the treks, it comes out in your perspiration and the annoying pests leave you alone 😊. Cheers mate, no advice for repelling snakes.

In dads day, born Janua18 1927, they went bush and cleaned out all weeds, including cats. Now they don't, even in national parks Hence the bad fires and having to to get permission . Cannot see the logic in today's thinking.😊

Congrats Scotty! She's a beaut. And the best thing about a Toyota, is that wherever you end up in Australia, mechanics are more likely to have Toyota parts then anything else.

Nice new rig, Scotty!! As a dad with a 2 door Jimny, you'll be fine with 2 doors getting a kiddo in and out! My daughter and I do adventures often, and it's quite fine! Given that it isn't the main family car, just leave the doors. Switching out the bench seat for a single seat is s good idea, though!

Hey mate toyota fitted the anchor points above the rear doors on my troopy. Saves alot of rear space. We have 2 kids both under 5. We got our troopy the week before my daughter was born. Yes it's a challenge with 2 doors but I wouldn't change it. The kids bloody love it

Techsafe seats mate. Ambulance use them. I got a double put in mine and they do singles. Works awesome. Im also trying to work a family type setup that folds into bed. Google troopygirl and see her setup, pretty awesome. Hope that helps

Also they come with anchor points on the seat, i got two on my double. Mine was about $3500 fitted.
