I spent 3 Nights at some of Killarney Provincial Parks most beautiful Lakes, Grace Lake, Nellie Lake and Murray Lake. The fall colors were absolutely beautiful but the torrential downpours made this trip quite the adventure

Same here. Childhood trauma had left me prone to anxiety and panic attacks. I managed to finally overcome them and haven't had one in years but last night all the doom and gloom fear mongering got to me and I could feel despair and panic starting to rise up in me again. In desperation I looked for something calming to watch and came across this channel. After a few minutes my panic was gone and the world made sense again, my sense of perspective returned. I wonder if Xander realizes how much more than just entertainment his videos are for so many in these troubled times. Sorry for the long winded reply but I wanted you to know you're not alone. Hang in there, the movie gets better

The production quality on this is phenomenal. I think most people don't realize the attention to detail, like for instance don't realize that he leaves his camera at a spot, shows himself walking away, then walks back to fetch the camera. It's especially insane when he did it for that hill shot when the fog rolled in, he walked a pretty far distance but trekked back to fetch the camera afterwards, or that one shot where he started rowing his raft but then probably had to row back and fetch the camera. It's amazing.

Honestly you are becoming one of my favourite channels. Love that you are so open about any mistakes and can always shrug off bad weather (not that the rain is bad). I'm also a small town Ontario boy, grew up watching Les Stroud and was always so fascinated by Ontario's wilderness. I haven't done much exploring myself yet, but next year once my student loans are paid off I am planning on doing some solo trips. I don't have a car so I will need to train/bus up north. Any suggestions on where to go for a beginner to do maybe 3-8 days solo with no canoe? I was considering Lake Superior Park but haven't made up my mind.

Since 2009, when one of my closest friend died in a motorbike accident, i never really had any friend at all. I don't really go out and meet people. I have become an introvert. I am 32 as of today writing this. KZbin has a way of connecting us with people we never know exist. Seeing your video for the very first time in my life, i am so happy and sad at the same time. Happy because i am feeling as if you're sitting right next to me and i am experiencing the same thing you are experiencing . You expressions are so good that it has suddenly reminded of my that friend. Especially when you were counting the lightening and thunder, and when the second one was as close as you counted three, you smiled and i understood what you're trying to say that it is really close. It also made me sad to see this video, as i am missing so much in life and i have no friend with whom i can experience this. Thank you for making us feel happy and alive.

Nellie lake is beautiful. It's visibly more blue than most other lakes I've seen. Thanks for the trip!
