Watching this makes me think of the Simpsons episode where Ralph breaks down because Itchy and Scratchy never make it to the fireworks factory, but instead of Itchy and Scratchy it's Potato and instead of the fireworks factory it's researching the Shipbuilding tech to embark units.

Thanks for the great content Potato, it's fantastic to see a TSL game. You start explaining that people are asking why you settle your cities so close together. You say "because it's optimal", it'd be great to hear why.

This series kicks ass. I'm playing the same game, but at Emperor difficulty. What a blast! The mods all add value! The new military units really scratch an itch for me. The enhanced natural wonders are a lot of fun. God Dammit Alexander!

In Chatacium, might it be more prudent to go Harbor, Industrial Zone where the Commercial Hub would go and Theater Square where you were thinking of placing the Industrial Zone? +2 mine adjacency if you place the Industrial Zone to the northwest, leaving that very nice Theater Square available. Whatever works, this is a very fun LP so far. That's just how I'd probably lay out districts in that city.

Another excellent series Potato! Although I disagree with those saying best ever. The Georgia comeback is still king. Also, you have alluded but not said it out loud, Lian’s Aquaculture promotion is going to be big this game with the extra housing bonus from harbors.

Super compelling let’s play. Epic pitched battle in the Balkans. The only thing that would make this map better would be if Europe, Asia, and Africa were different continents with distinct sets of luxuries. Maybe Russia/Scandinavia as well.

Potato i play civ 6 aswell and my favorite map is the europe tsl so if you play another europe tsl after this as like persia or macadonia that would be very cool.Another idea is for you to play cultural norway, if you do cultural norway you cant take enemy capitals unless the loyalty flip to you

I would do a gilgabro game on tsl and you would start in a very flood plainy area and then rush the pantheon for production on flood plains and have a super productive high population city

can you play another chill emperor game like arabia excepts using china instead and tried to build all ancient and classic era wonder and continue for culture victory from there after this series.. keep up the good work👍

I know that there is a mod in the steam Workshop that only allows for Ancient era military units. I want a mod like that for this map that makes it so that only ancient and classical units are able to be build. It would be great if you could make a new tech and civic tree to go with that but that is probably too much work but maybe someone can at least make a mod to only allow for units until the end of the classical era.

"the fact that legions can produce production is so stupid imo" - i mean, the leigons built roads and encampments and allot of stuff in the roman empire, it is historicly correct that they can produce production, and ergo a uniqe action to roman legions in Civ 6

Would it be wise to get a religion for defense? I've had I game I almost won(domination), but the AI's unchecked religion took over the game.

Settling close means more cities in a given area. More cities means more science, culture, gold, etc. Also loyalty isn't that much of a problem.

i hate to say it but i disagree with your reasoning for settling cities close together, the fact that "its optimal" im assuming you mean for defense. in anycase late game wont be friendly to cities with large pop to close together. its all about time i almost never make a army until someone declears war on me, im currently playing inverse earth with 11 cities fairly close covering 3 continents on diety its only turn 90! and three of the cities have 30 production and pop of 11-13 got a pantheon for mines +1 prod and i have a TON of mines

Its optimal because cities are limited by population, not tiles, so overlap doesn't matter.

steve9007, personally I like seeing the different mods used it makes the game more interesting to watch and if you are on the fence about purchasing a particular mod, seeing it in action gives you a better idea of the mods overall value.
