I have peppermint growing for the first time since I started this crazy adventure in April. I have tried over and over again, but ( probably because of the heat ) I was not successful. But it’s now growing and taking over my raised garden bed. It shares with basil, which I found out was a good companion. However, I’m going to try my hand at Dill! you’re right, the smell of dill is intoxicating, and it’s beautiful. Thank you so much for always being pleasant and kind, especially when you’re speaking to your husband and talking about your children. One day I had turned on your live stream as I was walking from one building to the other at school, and the music teacher heard your voice and he stopped me and said, “How pleasant and cheerful of a voice” when you said “Hello Everyone! happy Monday!”

I ordered your indoor garden seed collection and looking forward to planting tomatoes basil and dill and micro greens. Lost most of fall garden due to hurricane Ian and after grieving that I am ready to get started again
@CaliKim292 жыл бұрын
Marilyn, that is completely understandable. Ian taking out your garden is a "loss" and should be treated, as such, which it sounds like you have done. I hope the video helps you to process healing and starting over. Thank you for watching - big hugs for you, Kim.

So sorry to hear that Marilyn. We nurture our gardens, put in all that effort. A natural life cycle is one thing, but having our gardens wrecked by a storm feels so defeating. So glad you're not giving up! Best of luck! I just ordered a set of SmartPots from Kim; I have lots of seeds, like herbs and greens, and even tiny tomatoes (Tiny Tim and Orange Hat). Excited to try to have a small kitchen garden INSIDE.

My favorite herb: lemon thyme 🍋 I can run my had over it for that fresh lemon smell. Makes me feel better instantly. That said, it's great with chicken, fish, and salads.

Lemon thyme! Do you get that at the garden center? Or did you started from seed? What a great idea!

Definitely easier to do cuttings on mints like spearmint and peppermint. They start as the tiniest seedlings and take time to get going, but having success from seed is always rewarding, so it's good either way.
