Thankyou for the information... Is it necessary to rinse the leaves before processing them?
@HomevertHomesteader2 жыл бұрын
Hey Carol, If you pick them after a rain, and there's dirt on them then yes, a rinse will be good, also the rains nowadays are full of pesticides and all kid of nastiness so it's always a good practice to wash them before processing. If you intend to dey them then don't worry, the water on them will evaporate quick if you set them aside ok some paper towel and stretched apart. Hope this helps Have a great week 🙋🏼♂️👍

@@carolcoleman7107 enjoy this time, this hunger for knowing more and practicing it is the best feeling you'll get, well apart from the feeling you get when you grow your own food and you feed it to your loved ones and yourself. That's one takes the cake 😉. Thank you for the interest and for the kind words. All the best and keep on learning and applying the knowledge. Your doing Great 😃👍

Mint ice cubes
@HomevertHomesteader4 жыл бұрын
Happy you liked it :D 1: Mint produces nice big flowers but the flowers don't affect the taste of the leaves - the flowers are actually good to eat or good to be left to go to seed and harvest the seeds for later planting. 2: you can harvest the leaves all through the season or life span of the plant - flowers don't affect the leaves in any way - its just the natural cycle of the plant for multiplication 😃

You're wearing shorts!!?! 😵 What happened to your magical pants? (I forgot the name of them... 5.11?) The ones that last forever.
@HomevertHomesteader3 жыл бұрын
😅 It was July - too hot for anything but shorts. But even to this day I still have the green 5.11 and wear them mainly to and from the garden - they don't look well but they sure lasted me almost 3 years of daily or every second-day use. Still the best pair of pants I ever had.😊
