Please remember that weight loss is achieved through a calorie deficit, any diet like keto, carnivore, paleo etc the mechanism that achieves weight loss is burning more energy than you consume. None of these foods are inherently bad (besides canola oil, but that’s for another day) it’s merely the quantities we consume them because often it’s easy to get carried away. So please use this as a little reminder for you 🙏🏼😊

In the EU food labels MUST include calories per 100g. Some may make it confusing to tell which is per serving and which per 100g, but it will always be there. The only exceptions are fresh foods like fruits and vegetables that have no packaging, or those same things directly cut and packaged by the shop itself.

I’ve lost over 60lbs using PAM as my primary source of oil. Mainly because I do actually use the recommended spritz serving size. I just use enough to lightly coat the pan and rely on spices for the flavor. Sauces and peanut butter too. I just actually weigh them out. The biggest thing here is not being lazy. Buy a food scale. Just this morning in the midst of my cut, I had oatmeal with a scoop of peanut butter but I made sure to weigh it out and it was 20 grams. Enough to fulfill the craving without breaking the caloric bank. You can do it guys, good luck (:
@TimothyE-ye1kx10 ай бұрын
I agree about the lazy part. I would use a calorie tracker and found my worst days were the ones where I would start by not entering my breakfast. I would spend the rest of the day guestimating. By dinner I would just give up.

Regarding Pam, you're probably using about 25-50 calories worth, and oils are deceiving, since most of it burns off into the pan. At the end of the day, it's going to be negligible. Like, if you cook a burger on the pan, more fat is going to render out, than added calories in the spray. I really wouldn't worry about this.
@BurnerAcc-yy1sd9 ай бұрын
Yeah but if you roast some veggies you could add a lot of calories from oil. I agree don't worry too much about it but definitely something to keep in mind when cooking with spray oil.

I feel like food labels might be less tricky in the EU, or at least in France (but I think it's a European thing). The nutritional values are not per serving, but per 100g, which is much less misleading.
@thunfischmitabbelschorle10 ай бұрын
It's an EU wide thing. You have to label everything per 100g.
@Santa-ny1yp10 ай бұрын
Not only that but they don't have to list transfats if it is below 1/2 gram per serving. Also, labels are legally allowed to be up to 20% incorrect. Assume 20% more calories and 20% more bad stuff and 20% less good stuff.

Sauce tip of the day. I found "cheap-ish" pasta sauces mostly containing vegetables and spices. 25 to 35 kcal per 100 gram. It is usually basil/tomato - based or tomato/garlic - based. Use this instead of sauces with butter, cream and so forth that usually have 250+ kcal per 100 gram if you "must" have a sauce.
@Lockjaw_Saber6 ай бұрын
Also worth note: Things like fruit juices VS "Fruit Juice Cocktails" are also another label misleading trick. Shoot, even pure fruit juice won't guarantee you the juice you want. It'll likely be a mix of apple, grape and other juices such as cranberry, pomegranate, etc. The lesson to learn here: Read your dang labels through and through! Nutrition, ingredients and front of the package labeling. Know what you're getting.

He says that if you get 30 grams of protein within 30 minutes of waking up with a 30 minute walk, you’ll lose weight at 3 times the rate with his “slow carb diet” but if you stick to regular weight loss, it still works. He recommends 20 grams of protein per meal. So just a scoop of whey. Hope this helps.

Hi Guys im 6ft 2in I used to be 324 lbs about 2 years ago, what ive learned over the years is that it just simply comes to lifestyle and calories in vs out, My workout routine consist of weightlifting for 45 minutes then doing 30 minutes of cardio 5 days a week, I love and look foward to the gym every day after work, I do it after work as a detox is good physically and mentally, and yes I do get at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night, that is the most important. A few things ive learned is 1. try not to consume liquid calories when trying to cut down weight. 2. dont go too extreme too fast on a diet, trust me its bad for you physically and mentally 3, Noel did cover sauces (I will say I personally love sauces) he is right those calories do add up but i will never quit having sauce its just too delicious, I prefer lofat or low sugar sauces and I only add a limited amount, it keeps the bland food tasty and helps keep me on my diet track. 4. Dont chase the scale ( the scale will jump up and down over your journey) there are many factors for example muscle gain (espically if you are new to weightlifting) water retention, and many more factors, just focus on the things you can control and eventually your weight will go down I suggest still tracking weight but dont get too bent up on it. 5.drink plenty of water and always be hydrated, i make a good habit of having a bottle of water always near me and I set a reminder to drink, hydration is very important. 6. the most important is to educate yourself on Nutrition and find the right foods that work for you, not every diet will be the same, not everyone will need to go as extreme as others, find a balance of eating the things you love while choosing to be healthy. 7, dont overexercise weight loss is not a one week and done deal, its a journey ive overexercised in the past and all it does is cause you to crave more food, feel tired all the time and your risk of injury is worse when trying to lose weight and trust me a injury will hurt you way more then taking a extra day off from the gym, treat your body with respect and rest when needed. 3 years ago i was overweight, sad and going through all the emotions, Now I have a wonderful life where every aspect is better, fitness not only affects the body but it helped me find the confidence to move up in life and help me tackle hard obstacles. I am now 209 bs and my weight goes up and down after loosing over 100lbs I would like to personally thank Noel and all the fitness influncers for being great role models.

Good one, serving size is not something I had considered. Or rather, I chose to keep it out of my head. Thanks for the wake up call.
@yvrelna6 ай бұрын
I think it's a bit complex for spray oil. You usually spray for a much longer time, but if you've used spray oils for a bit, you also know that much of the oil you're spraying isn't actually landing on your food. When you're spraying for 2 seconds, unless you spray extremely close, probably only one second's worth of oil actually lands on the food itself, and some of that oil might even drip down further under heat. And if you spray your baking tray instead of the food, this might even end up being even less sticking to the food. Similarly with sauces, some of those are often loss on the plates, etc that you don't eat. One of the benefit of spray oil is that it's easier to apply uniformly thin layer of oil with spray oils than with bottled oil. If you want less oil in your food than what you can apply with regular oil, they're great way to reduce calories, but if you're just going to swamp your food in just as much oil, yeah, they're are just much more obscenely expensive version of regular oil. I still think that the serving size on these still is often highly misleading, but as long as you don't slather your food with them, it's probably not as big factor as you might think.
