One thing that should be mentioned is grip angle. I can go from a s&w to a 1911 or 2011 or p320 and my draw to shoot is relatively close. I cant do that with a glock. Since im used to the grip angle that I use, I always have to correct and point the glock lower. Can't trust a gun if my natural point of aim doesn't work with it.

@maybe5883 Absolutely valid, not what I'm talking about haha. I was talking about guns with coworkers, and when I brought up I owned ONE single glock, he basically called me the F slur lol. And when I had been shopping for that particular glock model to fill a gap in my collection, one of the gun shop employees was immediately snarky, even though i have no zealous loyalty to glock. Those are the people I'm talking about. I can take the memes and ridicule, but when it's a bit overboard, it usually comes from a dumb place of just wanting to be different from the norm for the sake of being different. Glocks haven't been innovative for decades, their triggers aren't the best, their reliability is great but most competitors have caught up to the point the price isn't as justified as it used to be. All valid criticisms

I love videos like this when I find a Glock fan boy going on about his Glock. Fine, so be it-that’s your choice. As for me, I had a Glock 26…I went to chamber a round one day and the slide came off. I sent it back to Glock, who fixed it and acknowledged mfg defect. That was it for me-I sold every Glock I had and never looked back. Some fan boys start foaming at the mouth when they read this, and accuse me of all sorts of things. The best retort to my story was something along the lines of all brands can fail. I absolutely can see that point, but for me the HK, FN and older Sig‘s (229, 226) have NEVER failed. Peace out.

I appreciate your content. And value your opinion and experience. I do have a few questions as firearm enthusiasts myself. But no professional like you fellas. While I do love my CZ Shadow and Shadow 2 Compact. I don’t see me carrying them do to liability reasons. I have been advised by some that my EDC should be kept in its stock configuration. In the event of a self defense incident as the firearm will be confiscated until the investigation is over. The firearm will be inspected for modifications to build a case of ill intent to use against me. The less modified the better. Type of weapon, trigger weight, common carry type (non race gun) style. Weapon light, red dot and night sights usually over looked. But anything to make the gun run faster or look as if you were looking to in a situation that could’ve been avoided. What’s your take on all this as I’ve never been in a situation that I needed to pull my weapon. Hope I never do. Do you think this is all BS or not. I’m 51 and live a very 2a state and exercise my right as well as my wife. We own a variety of ccw’s. I carry a three sixty five with a dot. Everyday. But would love to modify without the fear of being held up in court in the event ever arrises over modifications in a self defense situation.
@andershilmo18669 күн бұрын
If you make a modification you must be able to articulate that it improves any of these control,safety, accuracy. I changed the trigger in one guns. After talking with several lawyers. I also talked to US law shield they are very helpful. Both my local pd allow custom triggers on their officers guns. So I have that as well.
@mll76748 күн бұрын
@ I appreciate you responding to my question. My fist EDC was a p229 in 357sig. Then on to a Glock 19. Once I saw the interview with Mr. Cohen from sig explaining the branding of the three sixty five, and yet people still call it a three six five. That the gun was developed for a person to carry three hundred sixty five days comfortably. Hence the P three sixty five was born. As named specifically. I decided to try smaller options. I did buy the first round of the release. With striker drags. Got rid of that and ended up with another quite a few years later. A few of them lol. I have zev triggers in glocks and others. Some mods on other firearms. Just nothing on my carry. I do agree speed and accuracy reduces casualties and negligence. I will dig a bit further into this. Thanks again. Merry Christmas. Long live the P THREE SIXTY FIVE.

It simply checks all the boxes and has for decades, no need to reinvent the wheel. Are comps cool? Sure. Optic ready? Cool. Fancy slide cuts/serrations? Great. Absolutely necessary? Not even close. There is a reason they’re the most issued sidearm out there. The gun community has turned into consumerism and having the cool and relevant vs reliable and purpose driven.
