I quit nursing first yr I was only 18 when I started. I honestly didn't think I could do it but for some reason it has stayed as my dream job. Even while giving birth I was interested in how some machines worked or what the nurses knew what they were doing to me if that makes sense. Then my baby ended up in the nicu and when I would visit her I'd look at the nurses in awe. Like working with these babies must be hard to see but a dream to do. Ever since then I thought THIS is what I want to do. A NICU Nurse. I'm so motivated to go back more then ever next year. I've even had signs thrown at me. I KNOW NOW THAT I CAN DO THIS.

I just wanted to say thank you very much for this inspiring video you have shared! I still feel very overwhelmed and stressed right now during my second semester of my nursing program...The first semester i was very surprised with the workload of courses, classes, tests, assignments. Now this second semester we have started our clinical two days a week and there is all this paper work that is due in regards to our clinical placements. listening to this video has really helped me to relate and also know that all of this stress and anxiety is going to pay off soon enough! I am a very organized person to begin with (having a white board on my wall where I plan out everything) and i find that really helps me. The biggest problem I am having is getting used to the test questions. When I wrote my first test in first semester I had studied a whole week for it and I didn't do well on the test. I realized I wasn't studying the right way. Also I wasn't expecting all of the problem solving questions I thought it would be like what does this term mean you know simple questions. Do you have any advice in regards to the test questions?? all of our tests are multiple choice based questions and they require critical thinking and problem solving. I am having a hard time with these questions. It always seems like there is 2 right answers out of the 5 answers and Im always second guessing my self. I need to find a new way to do better on my tests and I don't know if its the style of questioning or if tis the way I'm studying. I am a visual learner and enjoy reading. It seems like because there is so much content to read that I feel like i am not retaining the information. Any advice on taking tests, and studying styles would be so helpful!! Curious on how you studied for your tests??Thanks, Brenna :)

Rock & Soul '95 Thats what I’m doing as well. There are also tons of completely online RN to BSN bridge programs. Also, technically an associates degree in nursing is still also going to nursing school :)

In your opinion, what's a good resource for study questions? Especially when money is tight you don't want to go out buying a bunch of question books hoping one is decent. Have you found one resource to be better than most? Do you swear by the Saunders?

Nurse Nook, I think you made a mistake in your description because it says the code will expire on November 3rd, presently it is November 17th.
