I'm so glad you addressed the truth about cholesterol. Not too many people want to publicly address the truth about it. Every doctor just wants to prescribe statin drugs to bring it down, when in reality we do need that cholesterol in our body! And the statin drugs cause memory loss, muscle pain and weakness and has been linked to Alzheimer's! Thank you again for saying that. A lot of people think cholesterol is bad.

Long story, but I live in Honduras and I had a major health scare last November/December. Went to the ER four times with extremely high heart rate and heart palpitations. I thought it was stress induced by living here combined with four tragedies in a row from 2022-2023. Found out it was probably related to menopause combined with a genetic mutation I was born with. Changed my diet to only eat eggs, refried beans (no oil), avocado, salads with kale and spinach, homemade vinaigrette dressing, lean meat, chicken, fish, sweet potatoes, chia pudding with almond milk, broccoli, peas, papaya, blueberries, and occasionally a small bowl of chocolate ice cream with chopped almonds. This is literally all I have been eating since December. My cholesterol went from 278 in December to 188 in April (this year). My blood sugar test for diabetes was 5.6 in December (borderline pre-diabetic) but went down to 4.4 in April! Also, they were concerned about my thyroid being slightly elevated in December, but in April my thyroid numbers were perfect. My heart palpitations went away. I should also mention I started experiencing extreme anxiety which then led to depression. I am out of that now and coming out of that difficult time of anxiety/depression with medication. I never thought I would take medicine for these things, but I had to. I am so thankful I did, even though I was resisting it at first. I literally thought I was dying about five months ago. Thank God for wisdom, prayer, medication, and KZbin! (I can’t do hormone replacement therapy because of my birth genetic mutation.)

I'm looking for a good home made vinaigrette dressing. do you have the recipe?
@reachhonduras89556 ай бұрын
Sure! Glad to share it with you! Thank you for asking! Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing: 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard 1-2 Tablespoons Organic Honey 3 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice (about half a small lime) Splash of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (about half a teaspoon) Whisk ingredients together vigorously in a small bowl, with a wire whisk. This recipe makes one serving. Double or triple for a larger quantity. *Adapted from Gordon Ramsey’s recipe You can adjust these ingredients to your liking! I use a little extra honey to make it sweeter. Enjoy!

Crippling insomnia and nonstop-24-hours-a-day-7-days-a-week hot flashes. Plus feeling like I have the flu with bone-crushing exhaustion 8 days in a row, twice a month. I turned 55 yesterday. The transition into perimenopause/menopause started affecting my life when I was 44yo and has progressively gotten worse. NOTHING has gotten better. I can't work. I'm so thankful my 94yo mother lets me live with her. I help her when I can. Thank you, Mom, for your gentleness and kindness and generosity.🙏🏻 PS: And thank YOU Kari for helping me maintain my sanity and realize that what I'm going through is nothing to be ashamed of.❤

I'm 57 and menopaused for 4 years. Bio-identical hormones (Estrogel + Progesteron pill) are changing my post-menopause: losing weight, 90% reduction in my hot flashes, less emotional, less achy everywhere, sleep better, best skin on my face in my life. I've been on them for 6 months now, no side effects after the first 3 months of being bloated, and I'm hooked. Yes to healthy lifestyle but sometimes it's not enough. I realize I'm lucky I can take them because of no breast or ovarian problems so far.

I’m 47 and almost 2 years post menopausal. I started peri at 41. My GYN doesn’t want to put me on HRT. She says that they are a “No hormone practice”. I’m frustrated because I’m still so young and dealing with all the symptoms. I don’t have a family history of breast or uterine cancer. I may ask another doctor about it. @@ameliahenderson4955 I know the hardship of finding a doctor who will understand. My ex-family doctor, a woman now retired, didn't want to prescribe me bio-identical hormones. She didn't know about them and didn't want to do the research. During perimenopause, which started around the same time as your's, the only thing she was willing to give me is the pill! But something very special happened in Québec in 2022: the biggest local tv star Véronique Cloutier made a documentary about he hardship of her perimenopause and the lack of treatments offered by our health system: everything changed. Less than one year later, the govt decided to cover Estrogel + Progesteron pill. I got an appointment in a clinic with a young male doctor who quickly wrote the prescription. The power of media still exist. That doc changed it for us women in Québec. I thank her every time I take my hormones. I wish you to find a doctor who understand.

Got a headache that came on so suddenly and severely that i contemplated going to the ER and toward hour18 felt like i was under heavy sedation . Had a heart to heart with my husband and told him that this would utterly destroy what quality of life i still had and i ripped that patch off . I know its a miracle and life saver for some women . @@KarenSharin I appreciate your thoughts but women suffered terribly before HRT. Their husbands had them admitted to asylums against their will when they began the "change". Even the word hysterical is derived from the Greek word for uterus. I was very healthy before perimenopause began to wreck my life. If the change has been easy for you, be thankful, and have compassion for those of us who have been blindsided by the terrible effects of peri and menopause. Even my gynecologist says they don't understand why some women have such a hard time and some don't but they know that it's true because they treat thousands of women during their careers.

Yes, been dealing with this too! In peri, menopause and post menopause, Uti's can become frequent. Also, fake Uti's and what I mean is they are just due to the loss of estrogen in Female parts! I'm just starting Estrogel, for localized help and HRT for all kinds of symptoms. The frequency in urination, is very common throughout these phases and not always resulting in pain. Yes, your hormones are always shifting and thus, sometime certain symptoms appear and then they taper off. Always check with doc, to rule out anything further but pray this helps.😊
@KariAnneWright6 ай бұрын
I couldn’t possibly know what is causing your discomfort but built up gas, or digestive issues could be causing it. Frequent urination is also common. It sounds like your doctor has checked things out and all is otherwise well.

That pain you're describing in the groin area sounds similar to a pain I was having there. I found that it was part of musculoskeletal pain of menopause and when it would get bad I'd rub Aspercreme (roll on) and it would get rid of it. If it's more of a surface (muscular) pain it'll work. If it's more deep down than that, then the Aspercreme may not help
