That's not very good advice. Listen, if you feel unsafe going to a country, don't go there. If you're the kind of person who can't tell the difference between a person helping you out and one trying to take you for a ride, probably best to stick to guided tours.

Just a tiny correction re: wendigo in Alaska (I’m in Anchorage Alaska & am Tlingit & Yupik- have several stories you might like as I come from long line of healers/spiritualists from both sides of my family) the tribe’s name pronunciation is like this- High-duh. LoL I know that looks silky but that’s the pronunciation.

When I was married to my ex husband we went to the mountains to have a family BBQ. We were all having a great time then all of a sudden my ex husband's, uncle came running out of the bathroom screaming with blood all over him, saying that he'd been stabbed. He had everyone freaking out went to call 911 then he stops me and tell me he faked it, it was fake blood. He planned it. I was so pissed. 😡 Seriously, who does that? The look of his kids faces, is unforgettable. Needless to say he ruined the day. No one found it funny,except him.

My father ruined many things. One time, we were hiking and started a quarrel over when we make a break for eating and it escalated beyond any reasonable imagination. It was a shouting match and nearly got physical! His strength was not physical abuse, but making you feel miserable. He insulted my mother and me to his fullest and then turned around and walked right to the edge of a cliff and looked down. It felt so insulting that he just turned away in the middle of an argument and didn't even fear that I might kick him down. In fact, I was tempted. I know, it sounds horrible, but you got to understand that it had a very long history and this was just the straw on top. I looked around, checking if we were alone and looked at my mother and from her facial expression, I knew that she thought about the same thing, but then none of us made a move and we all marched on in silence... Now the really disturbing part: I never understood why he ignored us like this and told it to several people and one came up with a chilling theory: he did not regard us as no threat, but actually counted on one of us doing the deed! He felt miserable and let it out on us, but at some point, he lost his will to live, but was not willing to do it himself and even darker: he probably hoped to ruin our lives by tempting us!

@edi9892
@edi9892 3 жыл бұрын
@@thatlameboy6774 thanks. It got a lot worse (a lot of gas lighting), before he ran off with the money and documents. He poisoned my cat and trashed my stuff! It's hard to describe how it feels loosing many things from your childhood at once, or not feeling safe at home and coming home from school after being bullied and finding your mom crying in a corner mumbling about suicide. It definitely left emotional scars and I'll probably never be the person I would have been without his _parenting._ However, I'm stable. In all seriousness: I'd rather hang out with psychopaths than people like him! Psychopaths are far more rational and emotionally stable and in a way more predictable, as ruthless, manipulative and dangerous as they can be... My first boss was a narcissist too and he destroyed a 100 year old company within my first 6 months and since them I've been looking for jobs... It really makes me upset how many narcissistic people I see around me, especially with my experiences... BTW: these people believe that everything revolves around them and if something proves them wrong, they'll have a spectacular freak-out... You'd better be nowhere near them as they gladly drag everything around them down with them to hell...

The last time I went camping, it was for a summer job at a small campground resort in Rhinebeck, NY. For two summers, I worked part time in the Production department 3 - 4 days a week, usually on the afternoon shift between 12 and 6 but also on night shift sometimes. In exchange, I was able to live in a tent on the property, have meals in the dining hall, attend some events (if I wasn't working) and get discounts on massages and other services the resort offered. I really want to go back there, at least to visit, once the pandemic is over, even sooner maybe if my job search places me in the Rhinebeck library.

Hello Darkness, how are you doing? This was an excellent narration of stories as always. The story of the Waheela and the Wendigo was the one that caught my attention the most because in Mexico and other parts of LatinoAmerica we have a legend that describes two wolves we call them cadejo pronounced (Kadeho) one is black with red eyes and the other is white with blue eyes; according to the Legend the black cadejo attacks all people, but if the person that is being attacked has a kind heart and clean soul then a white cadejo will appear and protect the person from the other cadejo. And this story it reminded me so much of this Legend. Again if you are interested and want to know more about this Legend just search it as: "el cadejo"
