I try to keep track of which nations were originally part of the First Nation. I like to imagine them fighting each other over who is the true successor to the first empire. I can see the immortals trying to break away from each other to build power bases, nations wanting to capture them and install them as leaders to increase legitimacy. Love the little stories this game creates

Joe and Beatrice actually stayed together for the entire timeline, despite the fact Beatrice first rebelled, Joe was always spared at even ruled alongside her for a while. Then when Beatrice was overwhelmed and fell, Joe snapped and practiced the dark arts by killing the evil wizard

I feel like the story of joe will be passed down for millennia you know. Like a story of caution, Joe never became a ruler like Beatrice, he never joined the army like Kevin and other dead Immortal, he stayed on the sidelines. Although I don't think parents will like telling the story of Joe, since he met the Evil Mage and was given an evil staff that finally let him let go of his inhibitions and kill without worrying of death. As well as the fact that as time went on his relationship with his other Immortals fell apart, which isn't really his fault, the others fell into the human trap of wanting to be important. Joe never really cared what side he was on, he'd do what he needed to do to survive like he always had. If that meant fighting Beatrice, or along side her, he didn't really care. He got all that OP loot just to stay alive, even making a truce with an evil dimension hopping mage. Yeah, the story of Joe is less of a story of how slow and steady wins the race. It's more of a story of opportunity, he waits for the best situation to show itself, and when it does he causes chaos, but locally. He doesn't declare war on whole nations with hundreds or even thousands of people (that'll get you dead), he'll instead kill 10s of people in a irrelevant forrest, a much safer option with a smaller impact. Maybe that's why the story of Joe won't even be passed down at all, he doesn't do BIG things that become the stuff of LEGENDS. He's more the side character that gave the two other male Immortals their sticks, and that one immortal that continually betrayed Beatrice and probably didn't care when she died. His name is known in passing, but his story is shrouded in mystery, since no one really thought to write it down. It's just too unremarkable, and he uses that to his advantage (otherwise he would've already been dead by now).

I love how confused he was about how kids work… If you’re a single child, and have parents.. and people asked your parents how many kids they have, they would each say they have one kid. That doesn’t mean there’s two kids, it means they each have one because it takes two to make a child! Get it? So when it seems like the numbers weren’t adding up, it’s because they don’t just pop out of one person… they’re having kids with each other! Kevin had 6, and Joe had five, but those 5 might be overlap with Joe and there are only 6 total. 5 kids with Kevin and Joe, and one extra kid with Kevin and somebody else! It’s pretty simple. The kids were actually adding up, they have kids with each other, so one had 6 one 5 one 3 and one 2 5+6+3+2=16 so you divide this by two parents it’s 8 you started with 4 people and you had 12 by the time you said that
