Yep! Just found out we will be watching him three days a week now, which I am thrilled about but also means more adjusting to my schedule. However, I had a feeling this was coming so I was already preparing myself for that :)

@@RainCountryHomestead my daughter stayed home for 18 months, then I had the little one 5 days a week - but she worked so close, she still was home over lunchtime to nurse the stinker. I would not want to miss the years I had with my granddaughter! But why do parents have kids now? to drop them off at the sitter (better than a day care), to drop them off at school, to send them off to..... it still puzzles me.

Love being a G-ma again. 1st grandson was born with a very rare brain disorder, he was the 13th known case in the entire world, they usually don't live past 7wks, but the good Lord let us have him for 15 1/2 months. He sent a baby sister to us to enjoy, 1st girl in the family in 65+ yrs. God is good, all the time.💖🙏

The pack n play was perfect for our grandson! Out of way of pets, drafts, & safe go-to during frequent power outages (kept battery light near it but out of his reach) or doings requiring my hands free even if he was having a fussy moment. Also had that safe place in mind for if I ever didn’t feel well until someone else could arrive- thankfully never happened. Kept it in our small dinning room with open view to living area & kitchen. It served him then baby brother then went to another family household 💝 I made pillowcase type warm sheets that also covered the added padding so there wasn’t too much to get his face cushioned against- & they were easy to change. A small potty pad (or any small towel) under his diapered area many times saved the day from needed sheet changes from messy overflows 💝.

We didnt have a crib for my kids. We used a multi purpose pack and play. It was alot easier when we went to visit grandma, we could bring their bed.

I absolutely love this 4 in 1 baby set. I was so grateful when it was given to me. I saved it for the next baby in the family. My brother and his wife have limited space and funds. I gave it to them on Christmas. They were just as grateful as I was. God is good all the time. Be excellent to each other. Thanks for being such a great inspiration.

I did not even know they made sets like this when I went hunting for at least a playpen that I could easily fold up. When I saw these sets, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for. Also, I know use the basinet for when I am sewing and hang toys off the changing table and then just wheel him over to my machine and I leave the cradle in the living room. Makes it even easier that way :D

Oh my goodness, such funny timing. Our grandkids are past the pack n play age but we still have one. One of our goats had triplets and last night we realized she was rejecting one. We have everything we need to feed baby livestock, however, it’s very cold here so the baby has to be in the house. Pack n play was the first thing we could grab. I had to call 2 different friends, I couldn’t remember how to put up the sides 😂😂

Here in Ohio, we have "Once Upon a Child." Stores You can get great deals on anything for a baby. Plus they will buy used baby cloths, furniture, etc. Granny had a nursery at my home, nothing new. My favorite thing I bought was a colorful mat with plastic arches over it, i tied different toys, etc on them when my granddaughter was very small. Later I would put toys just out of her reach for tummy time. The great thing, you take iit with you when visiting someone.. The baby could play on it instead of being held or strapped in a carrier. Let the baby nap in the Pack-N-Play, they're used to sleeping in it, go on a vacation, no problem getting the baby to sleep in if Babies grow so fast the 1st year. Buy it's clothes from a 2,nd hand/thrift shop. My daughter spent about $20 on clothes one time and 3 or more still had the original price tags on them. She even bought her maternity clothes at Once-Upon-a Child. As my granddaughter out grew things we gave it to someone in need, resold things at the 2nd hand stores. Congratulations Heidi! Fruit for thought - electronics (EMF) - ideally away from brain. We made the mistake of having the baby monitor placed near my now big baby's head (amongst the other so-called "good" stuff at that time which have now been found to be the opposite). Know better now. Dr. Eric Berg has a recent video about this. Love the playpen! Baby grows so fast and it's a great space to be close while adults are working. I'm sure you and Patrick will be so creative creating baby toys and trinkets! Abundant joy and blessings! Enjoy enjoy!

I never had a crib or changing table for my 3, neither a playpen. The packandplay was nice for the grandkids to sleep in for a long time though. I used the 30 year old snugly from my children for the grand kids and the little one I watched for a year when they wanted to be held but I had things to do or go on walks. Back in the day things were still made well, it is still very well intact - and I cannot give it away LOL May be my great grands will use it😂😂😂

I use this same setup for our baby in the family room! To keep the changing table clean, I highly recommend sliding a stretchy baby bassinet sheet over the whole area - which can quickly and easily be removed in case of an accident. On top of the sheet, I ALSO put a 27"x13" waterproof changing pad cover that's washable with an absorbent flannel surface. These have been a lifesaver! You can find a 6 pack on Amazon for about $15, and I now also carry them in my diaper bag as well!

9 years ago when I was looking for baby gear I chose to get a similar unit (except it was 3 in 1) . We used it in place of a bassinet and crib for our baby. Strap on baby toys were favorites of our girls when they were babies. We were very happy with going with a pack -n-play when we had our first in a bed and the younger in the pnp in the same small room.

That one I do not do with my foot, I just reach down occasionally and rock by hand but he is getting to where he wiggles around so much when he is playing, there is not much need and if he gets too fussy I know he needs more direct attention and I am happy to give it to him. :)
