Main issue is that these advanced weapons need dedicated logistic systems, strategic planning, and even proper tactic to use, something the Germans high command did not learn nor adapt to, and this is not even mentioning soft factors like reliability and equipment flexibility

all these things didn't mean much when they couldn't attach nukes to these long range missles, didn't have the resources to strategic bomb the allies at the same cost effectiveness as the allies doing it to germany, all these wonder weapons required rare materials the germans didn't have, all the wonder weapons could be employed en masse in years when the allies were about to cross into germany in days

I always thought the most devastating technology the Germans produced would be the V1 and V2 guided missiles, but one I think they never got to use enough was night vision scopes only occasionally used by Tank crew and sometimes on other small arms

Other nations had the technology to build advanced weapons like Germany, its just they were not desperate enough to do so. Turbojets may have been the way of the future seen in retrospect, at the time they had a lot of downsides. The materials needed for making turbines - vanadium/molybdenum steel alloys - are also needed for tank armor and ship construction. Cutting tools for the blades are made from precious tungsten needed for armor piercing shells. Better submarine electric motors require a lot more copper windings.

True, but in most areas, they were way behind when the war broke out. Also, the Allies had the advantage of having the most brilliant scientists, most of whom were refugees from Germany and Occupied Europe.

@@patrickmiano7901 Present your evidence that Germany was technologically "way behind" when WWII broke out. I don't see much of that. What I have seen is that economically, they weren't ready (who was?), and if they didn't win quickly, would certainly lose due to being out-manned and out-produced, and lacked strategic materials. The Germans defeated France in 1940 while the French still had powerful forces not only on Metropolitain soil, but world wide, but they'd broken the French WILL to resist. Doing the same to the UK and later the USSR was the only way Hitler could prevail, and he didn't have long to do it.

German Tech and the war winners: Proximity fuse: zero, Cavity Magnetron: zero, Atom Bomb: Zero. More? Jet engines; they built axial-flow when they only had the available metallurgy to build centrifugal flow. So tired of this tripe. When the war is in your backyard, and you are losing, you can get any fever-dream contraption to it. It doesn't have to be serviceable, supportable, or sorted. "It would have been so great." Sure. They spent years and could not replace the ME-110. But overnight, they will perfect hypersonic skip bombers. Because that is how things work.

The B2 was inspired by the Northrup YB 35 and YB 49. Northrup Gruman actually built a full sized replica of the HO 229 and tested it for stealth properties and it failed. Any stealth properties it had was because it was made out of plywood for reasons of low cost and availability in late war Germany. The channel Sandboxx has video blowing the stealth myth out of the water.

The type XXI U-2540 sank itself in 1945 and was later raised and became the first submarine of the Bundeswehr in 1958 named "U Wilhelm Bauer". Its now a museum in Bremerhaven. Later two Type XXIII were raised two and served the Bundeswehr as U-Hecht and U-Hai, last one sinking in 1966 killing 19 out of 20. The Hochbunker in Hamburg I know from my time as a trainee, when I travelled to work school, which is situated near the bunker. But never thought much about it, like its just there. But thats something to go deeper in. Espacially the "Marinekleinkampfmittel" (Mini subs and combat divers), who in parts where stationed in my hometown of Eckernförde.

Did you know that most wireless equations were solved in the 1860s or earlier? All we have implemented in the last 30 years was researched and solved over a century earlier.....but we did not have the ability to make what we needed for a wireless network. With previous technology a cellphone would have been the size of a grand piano. Did you know the electric motor was invented 40 years before the internal combustion engine but we still do not have the technology to make electric cars feasible, and no, the EVs are not feasible in any sense of the word. For one thing they are so heavy we would need to rebuild every road and bridge in the nation. So yes Germans may have seemed to make advanced things but did they just week existing solutions?

Good video! These weapons that the Nazi Germany has made were referred to Wunderwaffe is a German word meaning "Wonder-Weapon" for most of these weapons however remained prototypes, which either never reached the combat theater, or if they did, were too late or in too insignificant numbers to have a military effect. Others you may include Panzer VIII Maus (Mouse), Landkreuzer P. 1000 “Rat” is a 1000-ton tank, FG 1250 active infrared night vision device that can be mounted on tanks and other armored vehicles, Amerikabomber long range strategic bomber prototypes being the Heinkel He 277, Junkers Ju 390 and the Messerschmitt Me 264, Heinkel He 280, Heinkel He 343, Horten H.XVIII, Messerschmitt Me 262, Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet, Messerschmitt Me 263 (Scholle), Foche-Achgelis Fa 223 Drache (Dragon) Helicopter, Karl-Gerät, Schwerer Gustav, Landkreuzer P. 1500 Monster, Zielgerät 1229 “Vampir” active infrared device, StG 45 (M), StG 44 (The First Assault Rifle), FG 42, Nazi UFOs, Die Glocke (The Bell) and the best for last is the Aggregat (German for “Aggregate) ballistic missile series with the more commonly known as the V-weapons like the V-1, V-2 and V-3 missiles along with the developing of other guided bombs and missiles that germany has developed in the war. Nazi germany was very close in winning the war but their incompetence, lack of flexibility and leadership with a leader who is very psychopathic and sociopathic with envy and hatred has led them into losing the war that we are very lucky and proud that the allies won the war.

@@mr.noname9328 because the simple fact they just weren’t after ww1 they were out in a terrible position. They lacked the resources ability to fight a prolonged war and despite popular belief they were not more technologically advanced than the Allies. The reason they did so well early in the war was really because most of Europe was in a bad spot due to the Great Depression and those stronger than Germany were much fewer. The only threats to German early on were France and Britain but due to many bad decisions gave Germany a way to dominate early on. If France and Britain had not tried to fight another trench war they’d have most likely ended Germanys rampage early on.

Blazkowicz's days in Wolfenstein: The New Order+The Old Blood (and also what appeared to be a sneak peek in Return to Castle Wolfenstein beforehand). Great games, terrible follow-ups, *especially motherkarking Youngblood.* - I think the Japanese megasubs are far more interesting to me.

@@reaperiscomingforme the axis was out resourced, sure some their stuff was fine although tendancies for over complicated and tactics commendable but on simple math the resources they could call upon especially oil wasn't enough against their competition. Indeed part of the reason for the blitzkrieg thesis was to overwhelm their enemies in short sharp action before their enemy could organise defences properly and Germany own lack of resources for sustained action as alluded by Hitler when taped in Finland in 1942 indeed in 1940 Germany was loosing more men per day than during WW1 but the gain was vast amounts of territory and apart from a stalemate with Britian and minor insurgency losses low rate of losses until invading Soviet Union. Indeed I found a disturbing indulgence when in recent years people raving more avidly than before about the excellence of ww2 german military equipment when they weren't going to be risking their own lives using such. Indeed by the time something can be evaluated to the n'th degree It's usually becoming passe, this was a problem in recent decades in Europe where matters related to WW2 were becoming an indulgent distraction from present goings on . By now we have usually heard the same stories upteem times and it can be tiresome. It's fair to mention at the time a lot of the planes and tanks etc were sometimes weeks old and the designs months old which gave it an exciting dynamic, whereas in Ukraine most of the tanks are decades old although for many designs their first time in real combat.. nice Templar cross on your badge 👍🏻
