Came back to an older video of yours here, taking some of your tips and guidance on how to play China/culture victory - I have all DLC so I take into account the difference in current gameplay as well. I just want to tip my hat to you because I have put in a great deal of time into Civ VI, but watching your videos over time has allowed me to continue enjoying the game at a higher level. You open my eyes to a lot of things like how to plan your victory, where to put your science or culture and when to switch it up, bla bla. And I really have taken it on board. So thanks for working hard at your videos dude 🙂👍 greatly appreciated!! Really enjoyed your God start video with China as well! Take care of yourself!

It's funny looking back at these older Civ VI videos - the search function is a real powerful addition - you don't have to guess whether something has or hasn't been built or click and drag the map all around looking for resources to settle on .. just search that shit.

@DynaCatlovesme3 жыл бұрын
@@jocapoc I guess "squash" is sometimes incorrectly used to mean "squelch." So, "put and end to" or dampen is the meaning more or less. And yes, "beef" is often a euphemism for a disagreement or fight.

@@DynaCatlovesme yeah, that makes sense. in portuguese we say something like "to put the viola back into the bag" as to give up the fight and i think it has that similar "funny grandpa slang" vibe

Squashing beef means that you are ending any problems you may have with someone that may be bothering you. So if a person I know is being annoying and we have “beef” or a problem, we fight which ends up “squashing the beef.” This effectively ends the problem or “beef.”

Don't know what your experience is with the AI, but i've never seen you asking them to stop converting your cities. In my games, on lower difficulties mind you, sometimes - not always - the AI agrees to stop religious agression. I don't think you lose anything If you try and they say no.
@Redbird-dh7mu5 жыл бұрын
DjDanee87 the AI rarely says yes if they are serious about religion. Assuming the AI actually likes religion, then they will say no

I really enjoyed this playthrough. But I disagree that China doesn't have good bonuses. China gets 10% more on their eureka/inspiration boosts, which is at least 10% free science/culture throughout the game + an extra builder charge. Also, Mohenjo Daro fixed your housing issue so beautifully that it's painful to see you wasting time on aqueducts.
@panashefundira27314 жыл бұрын
You should multiply that by the percentage of eurekas/boosts that you're likely to get throughout a game.

Haha, in one of my games AI's settler was heading towards the location where I wanted to settle, and I asked not to settle close to my cities, and that actually worked! AI's settler stopped heading towards that location and just stood without moving. Then I settled. lol

With the forbidden palace, would it be better to place builders into the wonder itself, and saving the chops for things builders can't be crushed into, like districts? (I know it's for China only, but kinda curious)

What’s the point of chopping through walls first before a wonder? Does it do anything extra or does he just want the walls?
@afonsobrandao56275 жыл бұрын
He's got the 100% production towards walls cards equipped. Walls don't cost a lot to build, so he can use a builder to chop something for a bunch of production, and that get's multiplied by 100%. A tiny bit of that will be used to actually get the walls, and the rest "overflows" into your next project, which in this case is the wonder. Effectively, he's abusing that card to create a "100% production towards wonders" card. Which would be very overpowered if it existed. You can also do this for districts and other expensive things
