4° Lessinia Rally Historic 2022 + Lessinia Sport Regolarità Highlights - P.S. Valsquaranto

The 4th Lessinia Rally Historic 2022 and the 12th Lessinia Regularity Sport occur on Saturday on the hills above Verona. Masterfully organized by the RallyClub Valpantena, the entry list speaks for itself, with almost 100 crews at the start. I decided to follow the Valquaranto special stage. I must say that the variety of situations, including hairpin bends, long straights and fast driven sections, make it an excellent track to compete in a Rally. High-quality cars with many BMW M3 E30 and Ford Sierra Cosworth and many Porsche 911 SC, RS, RSR, Opel Manta, Ascona and Kadett, Alfa-Romeo GTV, Fiat 124 Abarth, Autobianchi A112 Abarth, etc. The race was won by crew “Raffa”/Signorini on BMW M3 E30 from Scaligera Rallye Team. In sport regularity, the podium's highest step went to the crew Andrea Giacoppo/Lisa Oliviero on Opel Corsa from Team Bassano. Enjoy! 😉
Si è disputato Sabato il 4° Lessinia Rally Historic 2022 assieme all'12° Lessinia Sport Regolarità sulle colline sopra Verona. Magistralmente organizzato dal RallyClub Valpantena, l'elenco iscritti ha visto oltre 100 partenti al via. Ho deciso di seguire la prova speciale Valquaranto di cui vedere un'highlights e devo dire che la varietà di situazioni, tra tornanti, lunghi rellilinei e tratti guidati veloci ne fanno un'ottimo tracciato per disputare un Rally. Alta la qualità di vetture con molte BMW M3 E30 e Ford Sierra Cosworth ma anche tante Porsche 911 SC, RS, RSR, Opel Manta, Ascona e Kadett, Alfa-Romeo GTV, Fiat 124 Abarth, Autobianchi A112 Abarth e tanto altro. Per la cronaca la gara è stata vinta dall'equipaggio “Raffa”/Signorini su BMW M3 E30 della Scaligera Rallye al terzo successo su quattro al Lessinia Rally Historic mentre nella regolarità sport il gradino più alto del podio è andato all'equipaggio Andrea Giacoppo/Lisa Oliviero su Opel Corsa del Team Bassano. Interesting variety! I love the Alfa GTV6s and actually have my Matchbox car of the FIAT (2 door Brava?) in the Alitalia livery. In the US they named the cars differently due to the fact that numbers in English don't sound near as cool as they do in Italian!

Interesting what you tell me, I didn't know that the FIAT 131 (in Italian it is pronounced "Centotrentuno" has had a different name in the USA. The Alfa Romeos in rallies are always fantastic, especially these GTVs with a six-cylinder engine 👍

@@Italiansupercarvideo All of the 131s sold in the US were 4 doors.(Bravas). 131 sounds WAY cooler in Italian! The car after the GTVs was called the Milano in the US, same drivetrain, square body with the bent up rear end, last rear wheel drive sedan before the 164, all 4 doors. Also cool but not sexy like the GTV6!
