Oh, so this new building 🏢 construction, was formerly White Gold! 🥇....Loved that huge store so much, having so many good memories shopping and dining, etc!. As a Filipino I like malls in the Philippines but it’s way to much. I never been in the mall in the US for 6 months. This is not progress but failure of governance because of lacking public parks that are safe and clean. Spend your time with family outdoors if you can and while malls has it’s purpose spending so much time in the malls makes your kids materialistic. Chinese are the only one getting richer.

Looking at how Megawide builds, its a big difference. Way more organized and neat. Seems like this building is using hollowblocks with cement cladding outside instead of Precast. Will also be difficult for the City in the future to do road widening as its very limited space available.

LOL! There are hundreds of GMALLs here in Cebu. Almost as big as SM, especially the ones called “GrandMalls” which are part of Gaisano.

Let me politely correct you sir. Yes there are numerous Gaisano Stores in Cebu. Metro, Grand Mall, Capital but not G Mall. GMALL is by David Gaisano who invested in Mindanao back in the early times whereas his brothers, Benito (Gaisano Grand Group), Victor (Metro Gaisano) and Edmund(Gaisano Capital) whose malls are here in Cebu. G Mall (Gaisano Mall) is another mall in the NRA. Once this pandemic is already (which we do not know) gone. This part of the Queen City will more dense and busy with multitude of people and vehicles. I pray that this plague would soon be gone.

Maybe it has something to do with David Gaisano wanting to venture in Mindanao back then when the rest of his brothers were heavily venturing into mall businesses in Cebu. The Grand Mall by Henry, Victor of Metro Gaisano are both in Cebu. As well as Edmund of Gaisano Captal. Stephen (Gaisano Main) and John (JS Gaisano) who also invested in Mindanao. Maybe they have an internal agreement wayback when they were still young. Most of the Gaisano Stores are being ran/managed by their sons and grand sons now.
