A reason most malls in my area here in the US failed and closed because there was too many of them. Building this near an already well-established mall was a mistake. Looks like there is a conflict of too little foot traffic due to lack of well-known companies opening a branch in this mall, and those companies not wanting to open a branch because of very little foot traffic. Didn't even see a Jollibee. Beautiful mall, but no reason to visit.

Kaka open pa kasi... I still remember when SM Seaside just opened. Kaunti lang din pumasok. I still remember me and my friends wondered "pano kaya babawi mga stores dito?". Sobrang peaceful lol. Even on weekends, sa ground floor lang maraming tao pero sa upper floor kaunti lang.. Pero ngayon crowded na even during weekdays.

Hahahaha same experience sa SM Seaside noong kaka-open pa lang, ako pa ang natakot kay SM dahil baka lugi although I recognize na magaling silang negosyante at hinding-hindi mangyayari yun pero nababahala din ako 🤣, I want it to succeed kasi ang ganda ng mall. Doon sa Mountain Wing sa may mga fast food ang karamihan ng mga tao tapos the rest of the mall, parang ghost mall na rin. Laking tulong free bus rides nila.

I'm from cebu, kakaopen lang nito and few stores pa yung open. Dinadaanan din naman to ng mga jeepneys. Just give it time, same din naman to ng situation ng Robinsons Galleria nung bagong open palang, napaka few ng bumibisita kasi konti palang ang stores and wala masyadong dumadaan dun na jeep dati tsaka SM yung familiar sa mga tao. Darating din yung point na unti unting marerecognize ng mga tao yan. Crowded na din kasi ang SM City. this would help: 1. Host an event (Fan meeting with artist, dance competitions, Expo and mall shows) 2. Open an area to cater big conferences. 3. Sports and family activities 4. Open remaining stores 2.

I passed this mall everyday on my way to work. They started opening this mall last 2021 which i thought less people are coming in because of the pandemic. But Sinulog festival had passed, Christmas and New years had passed, still the same very quiet. I have not seen any well known establishment inside. Maybe one thing, this is fronting the Queen City Garden Cemetery. When it was just the old White Gold house before, lots of people are coming in because of its transportation bus and jeepney terminal was just at the side. But now, yes, its really like a Ghost Mall. I don't know how true if their rental is really too expensive. SAYANG!

Maraming tao lang sa ground floor especially sa Jollibee pero on the upper floors sobrang kaunti lang. True 💯. It's a good-looking mall, sayang. They should add more features that will give people a reason to visit it. This is the strategy of SM in their soon-to-open SM JMall in Mandaue City. They made it a premier brand because there's no SM Premier in Cebu yet and they want people to intentionally visit it, in the same way people are visiting the feature-rich yet far-to-reach SM Seaside City.

its between SM City Cebu and Robinsons Galleria Mall, very close proximity (approx. 300m to SM at 600m to Robinsons) tapos tapat pa ng sementeryo. So konti talaga pupunta.... nagkalat na rin sa city ang mga Gaisano Malls (Gaisano Capital, Gaisano Grand, Metro, Unitop etc...) even Ayala Mall is competing. Cebu City has around 900k+ population the rest.... Mandaue, Lapu-lapu, Talisay, Minglanilla all have their share of different Malls dominated by the group of Gaisano Family) .... mahirap din punuin yan, kahit 50% at normal days or even weekends... sayang malaki pa naman...

Terrible location, in between SM and Robinson's, mingaw man gani Robinson's because people go straight to SM because the terminals are there, Ayala was a different situation in the 90s because even if mingaw pa sila they had a very good central location, the next malls to Ayala was Gaisano country mall, Robinson's in uptown and the Gaisano's in Colon , so Ayala's competition is still further away in distance compared to the situation of GMall right now in between SM and Robinson's

That just needs some activities and marketing to lure in customers. Think of activities that most pinoys are crazy about then held it regularly in that mall, so that people will have reasons to really visit that mall. One example is like Videoke contest, boxing matches, band competition, 3on3 basketball, miss gay competition, amateur singing contest, food eating contest or better yet add a food park near the parking lot of that mall. You know foodparks are guaranteed attraction nowadays in the philippines. Look at sugbu mercado and see how the barracks enticed customers when carbon area was basically eluded by sosyal people before. One thing I could say is that, that mall is empty because that malls MARKETING TEAM is not DOING THEIR JOB. Fire them and replace with people who knows how to market your mall.

Oh yeah, The Barracks is a great example! Basically, the place was cleaned up, the Freedom Park was restored, and a variety of food concepts were invited. Not only locals but also foreigners are eating there.

Imagine selling a product but not telling anyone about it. That’s what happened to this mall-no marketing. Additionally, it’s located right in the center of bigger malls with aggressive marketing, like SM City Cebu and Robinsons Galleria Cebu. It’s in the wrong location. 😢

For everyone's Info, parts ng Groundfloor lng at yung grocery department ang currently open to the public. so naturally di pa cya matao kasi halos wala pang laman na stores sa loob ng Mall. Nakablock din mga Escalators kasi underconstruction pa yung upper floors... I checked this place yesterday btw.

Dapat kasi marami itong pakulo para ma-convince po nila ang mga tao, like pa events po muna sila with famous artists at more advertisement para dadayuhin ang mall nila... very accessible naman po location nila at hindi traffic...dapat din maglagay sila ng mga terminals sa labas para mas lalong ma access pa sa mga tao. yun lang po...try nyo yan and thank me later.

It will take more time. I remember when SM Seaside first opened, and it was dead for quite awhile. T all’s grocery store is great other than the meat, and seafood departments. They even have dill pickles.

On Tuesday, September 17, from around 4 PM to 7 PM, I was at Dimsum Break for a meal and then bought a milk tea at Happy Lemon before heading to SM City Cebu. The next day, Wednesday, September 18, at the same time, I took the video and drone shots. From both visits, same situation with the foot traffic. On the first visit, maraming tao dyan sa The Coffee Bar (first cafe in the entrace), mga students and mga older people, judging from their appearance, these are people who have their own cars (one commenter said that this mall have FREE parking). On the second visit, may laman all of their 3 cafes, isang mayoralty candidate with his team nagmeeting dyan sa Happy Lemon and The Coffe Bar, as usual, maraming tao, and the third one, 5G Coffee, ay may couple na customer. From the looks of it, accessibility talaga ang problema kasi they already got customers who have their own cars. What about the masses? SM City Cebu on its left and Robinsons Galleria on its right are both being utilized as jeepney stops/terminal and this one doesn't have. Hope they realize that.
