Best Hypertrophy content on KZbin, hands down! No disrespect to Mountain Dog, Jeff Nippard, 3DMJ, etc., but you are the most specific and interesting i've found!

I've been following Joe for years, long before the beard and he has change the way I train by teaching me how to think. I'm subscribed to all of his socials and even used his app which is brilliant. Keep up the great work coach and if you're new here, definitely recommend you follow his work.

Bro!!! Thankyou!! The flared elbows explanation during curls absolutely answered my problem why I don't feel the burn biceps doing barbell work. I feel it internally in my joints before anywhere once I start going heavy. And they give out before my biceps even start to burn. Love your channel and content dog 💯👊🏼

True. I've been doing Skull Crushers for like 10 years straight, but last year while doing that I felt bit pain in the right Tricep tendon. And now whenever I perform them I feel pain. Excluded from exercise list completely.

Valuable advice regarding the single-arm exercises - thank you Joe. As far as curls are concerned - do you usually extend the elbow all the way (thus relaxing biceps and even flexing triceps at the bottom of curls) or do you try to keep constant tension on the biceps by keeping the elbow slightly bent at the bottom (thus probably also reducing the risk of tendon tear)?

How do you typically track pump work? Or do you just track the main movements, always been a thing I’ve wondered
@HypertrophyCoach4 жыл бұрын
I don’t track it. Just my “meat and potato” movements

Thanks for the content! When you do 2 working sets (a top and a backoff one), how many sets do you typically do before the top set? In those "warmup" sets, how many RIR do you tipically have?

Any tips on biasing Brachialis without getting too much Brachioradialis?
@thomasdussault11324 жыл бұрын
Personnaly, I find that a neutral grip hits a bit more the brachialis and the reverse grip hits more the brachioradialis. But it depends on your arms genetic...
@HypertrophyCoach4 жыл бұрын
Not over think that one. Neutral grip curls are likely your best bet.

Commenting for the algorithm but I got a question too. Is positioning your arms more overhead for tricep movements not that big of a deal in terms of stimulating the long head? I almost feel like I'm at active insufficiency with my long head when I do any tricep stuff that has my arm to my side, I only ever get sore in that area when I do overhead stuff too.
@HypertrophyCoach4 жыл бұрын
No, not that big of a deal. But if they work well for you, keep doing them

Do you catch a lot of flack for using accommodating resistance? I don't really understand why, particularly because this is *why* I follow you and listen to what you have to say. There are plenty of people who will just say "move iron" or something macho they can follow. Using actual mechanics principles from physics seems to kind of be your area of expertise, and if they think it's unnecessary why bother commenting at all? KZbin confuses me...
