I've talked to people who've been to the Holy Lands and they tell me it's surreal to walk along a path Jesus walked even thousands of years later. I can only imagine.

Having been to Israel many times, as well as the amazing places that represent Bible days, I was deeply impacted by the sense of God's presence in the land of The Book where Jesus lived, taught and died for us.

I now live in Australia ( 4.5 years ) it is always amazing to me that people have no idea about my homeland, or better still, where Ye-hua walked into His-story. 😳 Remember that we are told that " My people are destroyed ( even deceived ), though the lack of knowledge " 🙏🕎🌎🌍🌏✝️🪔

Brandon I recently found your channel and have really enjoyed your videos!! This just hit me to ask as I was commenting. I have a prayer request for anyone reading this. My daughter is 20 and in her senior year of college. She is struggling with some of the influences there. She is kinda alone as a Christian who loves the Lord. Some of the Sorority girls are playing with crystals and new age and the rest are sleeping around and drinking. I could and she could really use some prayers. Thank you all, thank you very much!!

Lord have your protecting eyes, comforting arms around your daughter in this school environment. Surround her and her family with your wisdom to make right choices, having you Lord as priority into her future and marriage . Holy Spirit , wonderful teacher and comforter, calm her heart in the mist of peer pressures and continue to be her best friend. In Jesus Name.

I have not had the same issues about visualizing the realities of biblical stories, but I do have issues about wishing to understand what I do not understand, to be more aware of the understanding I lack, becoming aware of what I don’t know. Your lesson is a good one, an important one. Humility, the willingness to learn, is much easier to talk about than to practice. Thank you for the lesson.

Glory to Father! Jesus-Christ! Holy Spirit! Hello with Love! Shalom! I can feel the excitement of being there in Jerusalem! Praise the Lord! I followed 2 courses at the Israel Bible Institute on the topography of Israel, wow! what an eye opener, insights and understanding of scriptures, places..etc. with Prof. Cindy Parker. I do not know how i will make it there someday, it's a dream for me, my faith is in Christ to make it a reality. He is my truth, the way to eternal life. I believe. Amen. Thank you Father!!!

It’s mind blowing how close everything is,. I always pictured the Jordan river to be huge, as God split it 3 times… it’s tiny! And due to the story of Moses in the bottle brush, I always pictured the Nile as narrow… it has islands in it with bridges connecting them to each other & the river banks. It’s really wide.

I am curios to hear why your guest said that the Church of the Hole sephalcure (Spelling??) is of great significance??. I was there and in the middle of the church is a table with a cloth hanging over it. They told the tourists to feel under the table is a square hole in the floor, and that is where the cross of Jesus was and the hole is still preserved. I then asked them weather the position of the new walls were changed when the city was rebuilt? They said no, it might be a little off, but as close as possible to the original city walls. So, i then told them that according to the Bible Jesus was crucified OUTSIDE the city and not inside, so this can not be the correct place. The they just ignored me and did not answer my question. So, i realized that many places there are just money making schemes and one must be very careful not to believe everything they tell you.

Brandon, l am Canadian senior enjoying my biblical studies of the Gospels and Acts again. It was so very much a sign to me when watching this video about the visit to the Holly land. And it is a mirical that without moving from my chair to reach down on a side table and pull up a recently purchased book to follow along with your discussion. THE HOLLY LAND FOLLOW THE STEPS OF JESUS JUBILEE YEAR, 2000, by ETTY BOOCHNY . this fully-featured with photos and descriptions exactly as described by your GUESTS! Can't help feeling the Joy of the Holy Spirit in my little house! Particularly since l have over 200 texts in my home, probabley 1/5 of them biblical, especially, or stories relating to biblical topics. Also my word for a theme to look for in my studies this 3rd year of study is "JOY; and l am using it and FEELING it with my studies. Your Ministry is one l follow - as your interpretation aligns with mine. I am unable to financially support you, however this is my way of Thanking you and pray with you, and supporting your presentations . I worked my way through THE CHOSEN, which l also embraced Dallas Jenkins and crew. AMEN TO THE WORD. dona

It's always interesting the ways that Jesus presented His teachings in humble settings. From the bottom of the mountain, below the people, rather than above them, looking down on them to teach- is significant. It makes me wonder if He raised His voice when He threw the moneychangers out of the temple.

The best way to read the Bible is to read it as if you were a child. A child has no judgment, no expectations, but they are full of wonder, humble and wide open. It’s an entirely different experience to read the Bible as if you were a child reading Scripture for the very first time💜

Peter’s house, the synagogue on the sea! Also Magdela too was amazing. Synagogue there too. Jesus walked all over the place there! Keep sharing this so people will save their pennies and go with you. It's extraordinarily hard for some people... and I think some Christians take their ability to have faith for granted... For some its like being asked to play sheet music when they have never sat at a piano before...
@trinitywright7122
@trinitywright7122 3 жыл бұрын
@@jimvick8397 I agree with you 100%. Sometimes I can just have faith. And sometimes I feel like I need proof. But more than anything, and the chosen as a television series bringing Christ to me now from his time to mine has been amazing for me and secondly, walking where Christ walked would so much firm up my faith because- I can feel what he felt the land has not changed. For example knowing that he was in the garden in the desert was 50 yards behind him and he could have turned and run... Immediately sent me to tears. I didn't realize that and there's no way I could realize it without hearing from someone who has been there in the holy land or going there myself. To the other commenter yes it's nice to just have faith. But for some of us our brain or something else gets in the way and we need help to have that faith. Jesus helped his followers that he lived with all the time and it's okay for us to seek help too.

I feel blessed and joyful to be closer to God and Jesus. Through my search, I also was led to you. I googled and found out there are trips that I can participate in!!!!! Then just now, I found out about your trip to Israel! That already happened 4 months ago!!!!!!! 😞 Are you going to have another one in the future? I was planning to go on my own in October. It would be nice to be with a knowledgeable guide.

Things that struck me about visiting the Holy Land was 1. how close Peter's (alleged) house was to the sea of Galilee - It shouldn't have been a surprise, he was a fisherman lol but if this was actually his house, he could literally pull his boat up into his back garden! 2. I always pictured Bethlehem in a valley overlooked by the sheep on the hillside - again, as you mention with the sermon on the mount, it is the other way round - the town is on a hill and the shepherds were in the valley! Also, it was pointed out to use, these were possibly the same fields that Boaz owned in the old testament that Ruth worked in! 3. Cana and Nazareth are so close - makes sense that Mary and Jesus would have known people there! 4. As you mentioned, the location of the garden of Gethsemene in relation to the temple and how Jesus would have seen them coming! I wish I could come with you guys, you are going to love it :)

We Catholics believe that Golgotha is inside the Holy Sepulcher Church. I realize that other Christians prefer the GardenTomb. Jesus knows--anyway! 💜🙏👍✝️

Hi Brandon, I have to admit the Bible passages seem to contradict each other: Luke 6 has Jesus going DOWN, and lifting His eyes to His disciples. Matthew 5 has Jesus going UP a mountain. Since Matthew was an eyewitness and Luke was not,...? Is the location of the Sermon on the Mount known for certain?

I disagree the part about Jesus preaching the sermon from the base of the hill. When our tour group was there, we did an experiment stationing one at the top of the hill and another at the base. The acoustics from either direction was equally clear. Besides, this fact of Jesus being at the top of the hill is supported in the verses Matthew 5:1, we read, “He went up on a mountain…” and after He finished his sermons, in Matthew 8:1, we read, “When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him.”

"He went UP INTO A MOUNTAIN" Matt. 5:1 The Bible appears to contradict the man's thoughts that Jesus was at the bottom of the hill.

I can definitely see what you're saying and why that would seem contradictory. It may be an issue of ambiguity in the greek: "anabaino" can mean to "go up" literally or figuratively. And the word translated "into" is "eis", which can mean a variety of things, such as into, unto, to, towards, for, and among. So as we try to translate this, we could end up with "he went up into the mountain" or "he went up to the mountain" (which could mean he was at its base). What stands out to me is that none of these definitions is precisely how we would say it. We would say "he went up onto the mountain." But onto doesn't appear to be a possible definition, at least according to Strong's.

@@BrandonRobbinsMinistry good point. Thank you for interacting with the text and drawing what you believe from the text instead of saying that a scholar said such and such and basing what you believe based on what somebody else said. Eis is translated 82 of its 1773 occurrences in the New Testament in the King James Bible as “upon” (24X) or “on” (52X). It appears that it could have been either Him going up to (the base of) the mountain or Him going up on the mountain. It seems that the context would need to determine that and I’ll leave the Holy Spirit to be the one who teaches the reader what that is. Thanks for bringing this out. Very interesting to think about!

Another example of how geography changes our understanding of scripture. In Matthew 7 Jesus talks about building on the rock and not the sand. The sand was a dry river bed. A storm miles away could turn the dry river bed in a torrent river in minutes. Do you know of any books that connect geography with Jesus’ story and His daily walk? Please send me some suggestions. If someone in your audience is looking for an online church (primary or in addition to your physical church) try out Our Safe Harbor with Patrick Mead. A very objective and uplifting channel. I especially like the “who told you that “ series where he kindly researches where some of our dogma comes from.

since we believe in learning more and more - one thing about the Jews you need to know - women and men are kept separate - because Jews believe that women have a better ability to receive from Our Lord -and men who stand with them may be shortchanged - it has to do with energy - or force - or wisdom that The Lord bestows on a gathering (wisdom becomes energy and vice versa) for the same reason that a Jewish man has 613 deeds to fulfill and women only 3 - women are natural receivers.

So i love this video but 10 mins in..they talk about the sermon on the mount and how jesus sat at bottom of the mountain..but Matthew 5:1 Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, unquote..or am i missing something

I can definitely understand that confusion. It’s an issue with the Greek. “Go up” can be figurative or literal. And the word translated “into” can have several other translations as well.

@@BrandonRobbinsMinistry so the greek word used is anabaino which as u say is figurative or literal..it could mean ascend..climb..rise up or spring up..so it could be that jesus simply stood up when he saw the crowd. Thank u brandon for the most interesting and informative channel ever..i have learnt and shared so much from your teaching. May Gods favour rest on u in Jesus name

The ideas of Jesus is below. The people means only one thing, even though he is the son of God, even though he will be the savior of the world, even though he will rise from the dead. The message is the important thing he wants people to hear his word and react and respond and take it in.
